Wow, that pic of Lee @4:13 really reminds me of the 1940's - 60's legendary tough guy movie actor Robert Ryan. Kinda sounds like him too. I enjoyed this one.

I’m old enough to remember Lee out hitting golf balls, or rocking in that chair waving at ya when you’d pull up to the petty place… great memories

Love it! I saw a brownie camera like my mom used during her youth up through my formative years that I have many photos from. I know I have some photos of one of her first journeys through Florida that showed the start/finish line of the beach course somewhere. I look forward to meeting y’all as much as I do Richard and Dale! ✌🏼❤️🦞

Enjoyed hearing Mr. Lee talk Met him in Ontario Ca. In 1978 or 79 in the cafeteria at the race track he sat and talked with me and a couple of my brothers for at least an hour like we were somebody. He said we asked the same questions those sports writers ask LOL.. He was a great man

You know, grandpaws are often like that. They are constantly handing down lesson that they have learned from their own experiences to the younger guys. Teaching lessons without the student ever knowing that they are being schooled. If as young men we had known this, if we had listened closer, if we had payed more attention, I think we would likely be better off today. I know that you’re excited to have these audio tapes of Lee. These tapes should be included in the NASCAR Hall of Fame display. JMO

Hearing Lee Petty speak, Its like listening to Richards Voice. Richards voice is deeper, but the accent and the vocal mannerisms are the same

I wish the clips of Lee could have been longer. About the time I’d get interested they switched to a different clip.

My grandpa told an awesome story about Lee Petty, he delivered some " bodies in white " to Petty Enterprises when he drove a car hauler.

Sleeping in cars, trucks, taking baths in creeks😂 and race 4-5 times a week. They lived rough!
