I’ve been a RP fan for 40 years, heard countless interviews with the ‘racer’ Richard. THIS has to be more interesting than any other interview. It’s raw and honest. I feel like I’m just sitting at the kitchen table while the family tells stories. Felt the same when Kyle was on. Keep this up.
Me too! I'm 51 and been a fan since the age of 4. This and the ones with Kyle are the best. Had me laughing more than any sitcom ever did! I could listen to these guys all day
Great video. I am 62 so we are close to the same age. For you, I wonder, did the other kids in school or neighbors think it was pretty cool you were Pettys. Your dad, Maurice Petty, grandpa Lee Petty, Dale Inman and of course Richard Petty are racing royalty.
Man!❤ these interviews and story tellin sessions are THE BEST. I love how yall are sooo down home regular country folk with absolutely no pretentious attitudes. It's like the hot buddies at my local track. And even though yall are apart of that family legacy.... you seem to admire it and be in awe just like us. THAT is the best part. GOLDEN
Sure did enjoy this one. Richard has been the King for so long, it’s easy to forget they were just regular folk like us. I’ve got piles of stuff saved up that I might need someday too😂
Definitely was cool listening to Richard talk about when he was a kid and how he grew up. I’ve enjoyed all the videos so far I’ve watched keep them coming. 😊
Awesome video. It reminds me of first meeting The King at Tim Teague's diner at Level Cross in the early '60s. I was about 5 or 6 and when introduced to him as being a famous race car driver he treated me (a kid) like I was a king.
So many things y'all taked about, happened in my family, and my wife's family, like don't call during supper. The last meal of the day, the family's all together, especially daddy's home, mama worked hard cooking a great meal, nobody bothered you.
Part 1 with The King was awesome, thank you guys, learned so much. There's something different about this, because you're all talking like family. Something special. Thanks.
Maybe the name Hank came from Hank Schoolfield? I believe he promoted Bowman Gray and wrote for Southern MotoRacing semi-weekly newspaper. I used to love reading the paper as a kid in 70s!
Wow! I just love this, guys🙂 My very last comment, in the last video you guys dropped before this one, was please try and get Richard, and Dale on soon. "Ask and ye shall receive"😊 Loved this one, just started it back over. Thank you, and i just want to say this- I've been here since the beginning, I watch every single video, and love waiting for each Monday's new video to drop. You guys are now up to like 4600 and some subs, and I'm astounded its not already 5 times that many! It's really going to blow up, going forward into this year, along with the Petty Family Racing channel, I watch and enjoy each and every one of those as well. Timmy, I really appreciate and enjoy your Under The Hood specials, please keep them coming🤟. Lastly.....let me tell you guys, you've got a BUNCH of us, just waiting, on Dale to show up on set for a great interview and talk. I know it's coming, and I'll wait patiently, I'm a huge fan of Dale Inman. Dale, Maurice, and Richard, were a FORCE together🏁🏆😎 Petty Blue!!!
BTW I just finished building the AMT 1/25 90 Grand Prix Model kit that Richard drove on the NASCAR circuit that year...came out pretty decent I think..
Great stuff ! Who are the other men in the picture you keep showing of Lee & Julie ? (The one guy is wearing a "porkpie" hat that was popular with businessmen in the 60'.) When you do a part two with Richard i hope you will get him to talking about when all three Petty's got on a racetrack at the same time (driving).
That was a big fat and Richard Petty before Jeff Gordon it's not a very important car I picked that car Richard Petty retire found out later it was Jeff Gordon's rookie year big Nascar fan I love Chevy sorry about that Dodge
The Chief’s son’s continue to impress me with each and every episode.

We so much need of this. Stories. When it's was cool. Today sucks.
They are not stock cars.
The time you can buy a car, race it, that's stock car racing.
