If I was to make a movie about Richard and Maurice, it would start with coming home from Daytona in '61. Lee was hospitalized for months, not weeks. He told his sons, "Go home, build another car and go racing. This is our business." Maurice and Richard did just that, and Petty racing survived.
A body would think Ol' Kevin Costner & Dennis Quaid would have made that movie by now, I mean they've been talking about making it for 20yrs now, but nothing yet. Come on Hollywood, get the lead out already! 🤨
You'll see your lost brother again one day, then you can hug his neck & tell him you've missed him everyday since he left, then you won't have to miss him anymore 🙏✝️🙏
I always wished I had a brother. I love your stories! Keep them coming. Prayers for Ken Squire. Been a Petty fan since before Winston Cup and still bleed Petty Blue! God bless!
I really enjoy the behind the scenes stories and history of the greatest racing team in nascar history and my all time favorite driver im 61 and i remember Richard Petty all my life i live in Dallas Ga right up the road from where the dragstrip was where he had that accident
This is great stuff, thank you all for putting these together. Toward the end of this video I thought how cool would it be to have Richard on with you guys. I think the fans would like to see the interaction, but I am amazed how busy Richard is every week. Thank you again Petty Brothers, really enjoy these.
Thanks a lot guys for making me cry. I'm 61 years old. My brother is 52. We love each other now as much as we did when we were kids. When I saw that picture of Richard leaning over kissing Maurice on the forehead, I lost it right then. I feel so sorry for brothers and sisters that don't get along as adults. I can't imagine not getting along with my brother.
I'm sure no one has ever questioned your dad and the kings love for each other and the face on the chief with that helmet in his hand says volumes no one in their right mind would want to mess with that. At this point in time its obvious you have the love for each other as you sit and share with us keep it up boys
Another good video guys I was wondering if you guy know anything about when you dad and Richard where young the house burnt down I was hoping you all could talk about that I love listening to the back story I do know a lot of Richard history Also your Dad do give me a tour of the old shop back in 1985 o 86 That was great your Dad was very interesting to listen to and had no problem with giving me a nobody a tour thank you again
Been bleeding Petty Blue since Riverside in 1966 ( I was 5 ) I well remember my Ol' Daddy telling me when i was 10 that if someone messed with The Petty's, it wasn't Richard or Dale they needed to worry bout, they had best look out for Chief! To me it was alway's plain that Richard & Maurice ALWAY'S had each other's back, even after Charlotte in 83, all the way to this very day, I've NEVER seen/heard an interview with either where one said a single solitary bad thing about the other & that's tells me all i need know bout both 😉
Just FYI. You mentioned you all never been to Winston Cup Museum. The Museum is closing permanently Dec 16th. Everything will be auctioned off after that. See it while you can.
I've seen petty blue documentary a few times and it makes it seem maurice and dale had issues and it played a factor in dale leaving, is that something that could be cleared up or clarified in a future episode?
Good Ole Country Folks. Cant Beat Us!

Never thought I would see Nascar without Petty Enterprises, maybe because I was born and raised in Randolph county.
Best show yet

Ritchie you look more like Chief in this one than any of the others I think and in your mannerisms too....

Dang I didn’t think anyone ever flipped that many times at Caraway, that was something!
Brothers are brothers. We always disagree. But Blood Is Blood, and that's what counts
