Great interview. Just like a bunch of cousins sitting around the front porch talkin racing. This group is all over the place in this energetic conversation about their experiences at Daytona. The Petty fans all over need more of these recollections from the Petty cousins. Keep the energy going and know that this channel is greatly appreciated by the race fans.
I have so much respect and love for the whole Petty family. They have had their faith tested so many times. Maybe they failed a time or two, just like me, but they stand tall through it all. They are amazing. All of them. God bless the Petty family.
One thing that not many people know, but Richard did end up driving in the 1961 Daytona 500. He drove relief for Randleman driver #49 Bob Welborn. Bob and Richard finished in 11th place that day.
You guy hit a home run on this episode. Great channel but I kept looking at the time going by and saying to myself “ don’t end don’t end “ You need to put together a marathon episode with you 3 having Kyle, The King and Dale on and see if you can film it in the old shop. It would be EPIC. There aren’t many people still around with the wealth of knowledge about the early days and some of the struggles that even premier teams went through like Kyle mentioned. You guys have an opportunity for something big. Go on now git !! LOL.
Great stuff guys! Love the history and hearing untold stories. Was the time I got started as a fan and it takes me back in time to where I would go back in time if I could! Keep the good stuff coming and it's ok to tell the bad too!!
Maybe the best episode to date. As a lifelong Petty fan, I never heard the 61 story. You guys made a man battling chemotherapy smile on a tough day, thanks.
There is no one better than Kyle when it comes to telling racing stories. He remembers every detail and is such a pleasure to listen to.
Big Kyle fan could listen all night

The old guys were tougher than boot leather.

My hero was on the show! 🏁
IMO Daytona was Richard's best track... His record there speaks for itself..7 Daytona 500 wins as well as win #200 at the 84 Firecracker 400...
Great job guys. Keep it coming, great stuff 👍
The greatest attribute of the Petty family is, through good bad or ugly, the Family is the anchor!
Keep Rolling!
I look forward to the next show.

Met Kyle once at Dover. He was very nice to my daughter and I.
Love yalls down home personalities
What a great episode
Back in the day, men were hard. After the depression and two world wars, if you survived you were hard as a rock.
Maybe the best episode to date. As a lifelong Petty fan, I never heard the 61 story. You guys made a man battling chemotherapy smile on a tough day, thanks.
Enjoyed!!!! 👍🏁

Great conversation guys, love it!
Pretty cool @15:38 Richards car with big dual exhaust exiting at the rear bumper.
Good one guys. I’ve got that same coffee cup Timmy is drinking out of. One of my most prized pieces of Petty memorabilia.
I wish you could have had Maurice to share more, this is awesome stuff from a a die hard Petty fan

Awesome guys, I love the Petty story.
You guys have the best content! This is a great video with Kyle. I always get excited to see new videos uploaded from you guys!!
Great stories guys..enjoyed it!
I remember Kyle getting mad about AJ Almendinger running his old Valvoline paint scheme in 2009 Daytona 500.
Wow , never knew no Petty was in a 500 after 59 until everyone retired.
Is there a place I can buy a black #45 cap like Kyle wears? I used to always wear 1 but I can't find them anywhere except (used) on Ebay
grest show!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Was Kyle the only driver to win a race in a magnum in nascar or acra?
Marum said dont run away or I'll throw the caution out
We don't care if you all talked for an hour in one episode
Kyle's NASCAR racing career was nothing special. 30 years and only 8 wins. He's great at commentating and interviews, though.
