Treasure every single silly thing that he does, for they’re not promised to be there forever 😊 I lost my silly hubby almost 7 years ago and would love to have him back again 😢
I almost lost mine this past summer. When I am frustrated with him, I remind myself to only get frustrated with what really matters, The rest I can take to the sewing machine or on a walk. Some of my church friends have also lost their husbands this year. A hug to you and find contentment with your sewing.
I lost mine 2 yrs ago also. Am almost done getting my studio set up and I plan on diving into some quilting. I haven't been able to do it for 10 yrs between my own injury and then moving, and my husband being sick for 2 yrs before he passed. I'm ready to get lost in some creativity. Peace and Blessings, 😊
I started this project of the month last January. I loved it! I have never had such a productive year! I finished all 12 and several extras I'd set aside and EVEN made a few extra baby or 3 yard quilts! I am going to take it a step further this year - besides 12 sewing or crafts I am also making a list of 12 organizational projects I've been putting off too! We'll see how it pans out. Meanwhile thanks for a great idea and a great year!
You inspired me to pull out my boxes of 2.5 strips and 5" squares and do something. I'm starting late for 2024 so I will continue to make progress for 2025 while I heal from open heart surgery. My goal is to use up all my 2.5 strips and 5" squares in 2025. Wish me luck!
She inspired me to cut one of my boxes of scraps into strips and squares. Used up the stripes but still working on the squares. I need a project though for stretchy fabric.
I have enjoyed your 12 project boxes, 2024. I am going to participate in 2025. I look forward to your inspirational pep talk-presentation posts along the way. And may have to resist clicking on your unboxing videos that will divert my attention to get my UFOs done. Happy New Year my quilting friend.
I enjoyed the heck out of your bucket challenge. I’m ecstatic that you are doing another one for 2025. I am a new quilter and you inspired me all year with your projects. Thank you.
I'm working on a 1990 project. Looks like I have some catching up to do. lol Wishing everyone at the Quilted Forest a happy and prosperous 2025. Thank you for all the effort and energy you put into your channel. It is much appreciated.
I don't have to come up with projects in 2025. I have 4 grandkids that are always coming up with things for me to do! It runs the gammit of quilts, doll clothes, pjs, stuffed animals etc etc etc. I too have a silly husband (soon to be 44 years). Thanks for all of your creativity & tutorials. Happy New Year to all!
It's been an awesome year watching you and being blown away by what's in the buckets and how you finish them. I look forward to 2025, I can't wait to see your UFOs and what to accomplish. ❤❤
I found your channel a couple of months ago, so didn't get to work on any projects yet, I have had so much going on, but have made my list of all my unfinished projects and have chosen my 12 for 2025. So excited to get started!!
Shelley, I so enjoyed this whole year of your projects! I made five quilts and a pillow this year-and as you say, that is definitely a win for me! I’m still stitching binding on one quilt and one quilt top needs to be quilted; but I would say I made great progress this year! Goals are fun, and it’s really fantastic when you achieve them! I look forward to placing my order to spend my gift certificate soon! Happy New Year!!!
Great to see it's not an all or nothing mentality. The edge on that quilt looks fantastic - well done. Also splicing that edge in with what was already there. Lovely.
I followed along for all of 2024… and now I’m ready to jump in with my own list of projects. 💚 I wrote down my 12 sewing projects, and tossed in a bonus: I have a leaders and enders almost all cut out. It would be cool if I did enough sewing to turn that into a quilt top! 🤩
Well done! ⭐️ This is the 3rd or 4th year that I’ve followed your progress, and 2025 will be the 1st year I try it for myself! Really looking forward to finishing some things. Deb x 🤗
My local fabric shop gave me an abandoned quilt to restore and finish. I did, and it's beautiful to me. Restoring and finishing these kind of quilts is a favorite thing to do for me! Thanks for sharing.
I joined in this challenge this past year and was a little disappointed in my progress. Three projects were untouched. Two projects were completely finished. I worked on the other seven and they are in various stages. Gifted one of the completed quilts to my brother, who had open heart surgery soon after the quilt was completed. He loved it, because it was cuddly & warm and kept him toasty during recovery. Already have my 2025 list ready. This year I hope to put other things aside and focus on getting these projects finished once and for all! In addition, I decided to join in Celebrating the States. I do have 18 of them completed. Plan to make 7 or 8 blocks each month till I catch up. Love your RUclips channel. I get so many doable ideas from you! Have a safe & Happy New Yeat! We love you in Pennsylvania!
Love this series! I discovered you in May and finished 4 quilts, made progress on 2 and 2 were left untouched! ( I don't know why I think I can get anything done in December) I also added a home improvement project with each month and completed 5! Thanks for keeping me motivated. Love to see what you're up to.
Think you have done a wonderful job and it’s a great idea to try 👏👏 Love how you finished the December quilt 🥰 It was great that you used the cut off pieces from one end to fill in the gaps on the other, most people just throw these pieces away and I always thought this was such a waste 🤔👍 Happy New Year and looking forward to seeing what you do in 2025 👏👏🇬🇧
I absolutely LOVE your "project of the month" series. That along with your videos on using strips and charms I have gotten some great ideas!! You are a joy to watch - keep up the great work. Can't wait to see what you are up to this year!!
Thank you for a year of encouragement to create quilts or finish projects. I’m very keen this year 2025 to finish projects. Like everyone I have many. Good luck to us all
You make me smile ! ! ! Thank you. Because of you, I have finished 5 quilts and have made good progress on 2 others. I never tire of your voice. Happy New Year and keep up the good work you do. Alice
I really enjoy your videos. This project of the month will be a real challenge for me to get finished so I may call mine "the bi-monthly challenge" giving me more time to get projects done and not "beat myself up" when I don't get completed in a month. I don't know how you get done as much as you do and run a quilt shop, and You Tube channel AND a husband/family. I'm tired just thinking about your schedule. Happy New Year!!!!!!
This is so much fun, seeing what you accomplish with these unfinished projects. I've done it the last 2 years and have failed miserably. But I'm going to try again in 2025!! Thank you so much for doing this. When I grow up, I want to be just like you!! (I'm 75!! Haha!) God bless you and happy new year. See you in 2025!!
Great to see your progress and am really glad you are doing again it for2025 maybe I can do better,I did several charity quilts and four veteran quilts but that doesn’t count for ufos. Thanks for you videos and I hope you have a healthy new year
I made myself a list for 2024 and got six out of the twelve done. I'm going to do it again this year. I like the randomness with you drawing the numbers. The list is on my phone numbered so I can pick the same number for the month.
At least you got a lot done. I can't make myself go in my sewing room to sew. I'm thinking of moving my sewing machine to my dining room (so I have different items to look at as I sew). Thank you for this video. Happy New Year.
It has certainly been a great 2024 watching you and all your great ideas. I will be joining you for the 2025 project of the month, even if I just spend 15 to 60 minutes on completing a project it’s going to be a win. I’m working on my 2025 goals.
I have my 12 projects in bags and in 2 drawers. I am just going to reach in the drawer and pull out a bag each month. Can't wait to get started and see how much I can accomplish! You did great!
… or 2018, or 1974 (inherited) or 1978 (mine) 😂. List for 2025 is ready! Got some done in 2024, some partially done, some untouched. But progress was made! Love what you have done with vintage UFOs and adore your 2.5” scrap/strip series. So many leftovers!
Thank you so much for doing this. I love it and you did so great on yours. I have mine all ready, a few that I didn't get to this year went back into the bin for 2025. I am also making myself quilt at least one quilt a month also.
You have been so very inspiring. I have many projects on the go, ( May have short attention span😉) Last winter I made hundreds of batiks blocks 5” with three different strip pieces . My vision to have all these blocks become the background for a large tree in centre! Now during this New Year I am tackling it again. It started as mindless sewing, trouble is I have many such baskets , Christmas tumblers in strips on a hanger to become a gift for 2025 on it goes . I have some gorgeous Tilda fabric that screams leave those baskets choose that sampler quilt from 20 years ago 😂 not to mention 2.5 “ strips from bindings . Or a bargello small tops for wall hanging in Northern lights themes. I do finish the many started and will have my number containers ready. I enjoy all your videos here on the Bay Of Fundy, NB Canada. Happy New Year to you and yours 🎉
Life got in the way this year, so although I haven't done the project of the month challenge, I do need to prioritize those 2024 planned projects, which are cut or pieced. The only new project I plan on starting is Tula Pink's "100 Modern Blocks." I have discovered that samplers are a good way to play after work while dinner is cooking. Happy New Year!
I so enjoy you & your work. Yes, I want to participate in 2025. I’m excited! Loved your recap, & frankly, I’m glad all was not accomplished. Makes it seem (to me) more doable. Yet, didn’t you accomplish MUCH?! Blessings!
I love your tutorials. Your calm voice and easy to follow instructions are so much fun! I made 4 of your 2.5" strip quilts and have started cutting out 3 more. I am so glad I found you!
Happy New Year! I am in awe of all you accomplished! I have had my long arm in time out for a year…I think I remember how to use it. My goals will be to finish all the quilts I have stacked up! There, I said it. Now I hope I can follow through! Thanks for the inspiration! See you soon with the number for the month!
You made some really great progress on your projects. Your December quilt is beautiful. I did pretty good with my projects. I finished 8 or 12! Three of 12 I took out and looked at. The last one I worked on but half way through decided it wasn't working out so it was abandoned. I will have to think about it I want to work on it in 2025. In addition to my 8 finished UFO's, I started and finished 14 other quilts and finished 2 additional UFOs. I really enjoy your project videos - I feel like making a list and working on projects with thousands of other quilters keeps me motivated. Thanks and happy 2025.
You are AMAZING. I started the UFO Challenge in October 🤷♀️ I worked on one UFO in October and put it away with definite progress. My November project I didn’t get a chance to touch and December I knew better than to pull one out. I put all back in the bucket and will start over with them all. I’m excited. 🎉
@ I’m trying to get back into sewing,as I had a stroke in 2023….. perseverance and stubbornness I hope will prevail
This was a lot of fun to watch this series I hope you do it again
Great job, Shelly, nailing your six projects in the completely done pile. Congratulations!
I started this project of the month last January. I loved it!
I have never had such a productive year! I finished all 12 and several extras I'd set aside and EVEN made a few extra baby or 3 yard quilts! Shelly, you performed a "miracle" on the December quilt. You never take the easy way out and your projects reflect that dedication. Thank you.

Not only wishing you luck on your projects, but praying for your healing and renewed health! Hoping 2025 is your best year ever.
@@marynalley3864 Thank you. Happy New Year.
I LOVED watching your progress! It was fun to see how you handled your obstacles and your successes! Pretty inspirational! Thanks!
Oh my goodness your December quilt is beautiful!!! I can't wait to see what projects you pick for 2025!!!
I have my list ready to go for Jan 1. I will keep watching you for motivation.
Me too!
#1 project for 2025....clean and rearrange my sewing room. I made 12 large quilt gifts for xmas. Cleaning was not in the queue. Lol
I have enjoyed your 12 project boxes, 2024. I am going to participate in 2025. I look forward to your inspirational pep talk-presentation posts along the way. I enjoyed the heck out of your bucket challenge. I’m ecstatic that you are doing another one for 2025. I am a new quilter and you inspired me all year with your projects. Thank you.
I appreciate that not every thing got done and we can just try again later! Love that attitude! Happy New Year!
Hi Shelly! So glad you are doing this another year! This is one of my favorite series. Sometimes it even gets me to work on my ufo’s!!
I'm working on a 1990 project. Looks like I have some catching up to do. lol Wishing everyone at the Quilted Forest a happy and prosperous 2025. Thank you for all the effort and energy you put into your channel. It is much appreciated.
Hurray! I'm looking forward to seeing 2025 monthly draws.

Congratulations! I’ve totally enjoyed this Project Challenge series, thanks for taking us along with you! I’m ready to begin for 2025!
I haven’t been quilting long enough to have tubs of 2.5” strips but I have learned a ton from watching your videos. Thanks and have a great new year!!
Hmmm… think you’re a little faster than me but I’m with you for 2025. Happy New Year, Everyone!
It's been an awesome year watching you and being blown away by what's in the buckets and how you finish them. I look forward to 2025, I can't wait to see your UFOs and what to accomplish. ❤❤

I really like how you finished the December quilt.
I have so enjoyed watching your progress on all your projects. Great motivation for us all.
You did an awesome job. Congratulations on your finishes.
Amazing amount of work accomplished considering all you do and quilt in between all theses UFO. Congratulations on all the completed quilts!!
It’s fun to see your progress! When you unbox fabric you mention wanting to make those cute kids books, maybe that could be a new series!
Now, I need to make my list! Thanks for the Inspiration.
I really enjoy these videos so I am glad that you are doing this again in 2025. I look forward to seeing what you select. Happy quilting.
