People want everything for free. Unfortunately they do not have a clue about what it takes to plan and produce a u-tube channel. It's not free for you to produce, but free for them to watch. John’s flying geese quilt would make a great table topper! Maybe add a solid or reads-as-a-solid batik border. He could even skip the binding, and just sew a backing to the quilt top right sides together, add a layer of batting, then sew 1/4” all around the edges, leaving about a 10” opening to turn it inside out. Then just a top stitch around the edges, capturing the tucked-in opening seam allowances, with a grid or criss-cross machine quilting.
I laughed when John gave you a noogie (that's what my family calls it). They always seem to do it on the days when my hair actually looks decent...kids. 😂
My sister in law who is a good quilter got the family (her husband,her daughter and her son and his wife, her sister, her brother and me, I am her sister in law) to make blocks for a birthday quilt for my mother in law for her 80th birthday. All us ladies love to sew and make things but the men had never even used a sewing machine. We tutored them which was fun. The resultant quilt came out beautifully and my sister in law put an explanation panel on the back showing who did what panels. Her husband now actually quilts himself and a san artist he has a great sense of colour matching. He finds the whole process really relaxing. Just goes to show that even man can enjoy the quilting process not just ladies.
Please don’t feel like you have yo plan everything to within an inch of its life - my friend and I just love to sit and listen to you chatting, it’s like sitting with a friend for a cosy chat

I really like cotton/bamboo as well. I've never been huge on pink, but you sure do pinks well. Wow, 2 years ago. Time sure flies. I love that color-wash. I looked up the florescence line and the fabric photos don't do it justice. That was a nice look back through last year. You had a good year. It's funny how those pink sashings and cornerstones changed the whole look of the squares you surrounded them with. Belated Happy New Year to you and yours.

Crafting is a step away for awhile from the so called real world, time for each person and to relax. I love watching you work on that pink quilt. I have not tried hand quilting because it seems so daunting. I mainly machine quilt. But watching you take it a little at a time and drawing your lines as you go takes some of the anxiety of doing this. It seems so enjoyable and calming. Thank you.

Having a chuckle with John. My husband made a quilt for his art class in college. I was new to quilting, yet our ideas were much different. Yet he did well. After he graduated he spent many years as my ironing assistant. Happy New year.

Crafting is a step away for awhile from the so called real world, time for each person and to relax. I sew a little and have never made a quilt or hand sewn but watching you inspires me to think outside the box.

I love watching you work on that pink quilt. I have not tried hand quilting because it seems so daunting. I mainly machine quilt. But watching you take it a little at a time and drawing your lines as you go takes some of the anxiety of doing this. It seems so enjoyable and calming. Thank you.
