  • I will be making a quilt from Pitchfork Quilts using their laser precut kit called Dancing Pinwheels. Pitchfork Quilts is a family owned company that creates laser cut quilt kits. Caitlin is the designer mastermind behind these beautiful quilt kits. The quilt kits are made in the USA and Pitchfork Quilts creates pre cut kits so there is less cutting for people who might have health issues that make cutting painful or even dangerous. As a small business, they are focused on customer service. If you like this quilt, please reach out to Pitchfork Quilts to get your own kit. Maybe watch the whole video for a surprise.
    From Pitchfork Quilts:
Our laser pre-cut quilts are perfect for someone who wants to enjoy quilting! We cut out the cutting and the thinking! You can sit down and just enjoy!
These quilts are also awesome for quilters with arthritis, mobility issues, and others who shouldn't use a rotary cutter. Women on blood thinners who risk more from getting cut should consider our kits!

    General Business Moto:
We want to help you enjoy quilting!
We want to bring quilting to those with arthritis and mobility issues so that you don't have to forgo your craft that you love. Our hearts break thinking of the many barriers women face when it comes to quilting. Women (and men) sacrifice so much to have families, support the ones we love, and give to our communities. We want to help you work through those physical and mental barriers. We want to bring you back to your beloved craft. We believe all crafters who "try out quilting" are hooked and love this craft the most. We want you to always be able to do what you love...Quilt!

This is a really cute quilt. Love all the precuts and how they were all labeled. What a great idea. The navy quilt would be great for a baby or for any occasion.

There are paper labels with a letter on the stacks of fabric cuts. The instructions refer to those letters. 😀

Hi April, You sew and have a lot more experience than me. I just want to suggest lengthening your stitch length. Eleanor Burns always says to sew at 2.0. Also checking tensions and pressure on pressure foot. Love your videos. ❤

Less pressure on the presser foot should help alleviate some of the puckering on the HST blocks.

Maybe your thread tension is not quite right. That can cause the wrinkles at the seam. You probably already know that.

  • @PatsyVaughn

I think your tension is off a bit on your sewing machine. It should not be gathering the fabric when you sew. But you certainly found a way to fix the problem after the fact. Beautiful quilt!

    This is beautiful.
I've found using s 3.0 stitch length helps me avoid these wrinkles since you are stitching on the bias and that means stretch. It could help yo spray startch the fabrics stiff so they don'tstretch. A loser stitch will allow the bias to lay flatter.

Super cute Miss April. That’s a huge hoop you have for the emb machine. That makes it super nice to work on bigger projects…and nope, there was no way to tell where you added a row of stitches. 🤗🤗 hope ya had a terrific 4th of July. 😊

Beautiful!! This would also look really nice if it was made with a different fabric for each pinwheel. I like the kit Reading Nook w/Ruby Star Ombré. It is less a “baby quilt”. I have yet to use my embroidery machine to quilt.

I wish you showed more of the quilting process, does the machine do one pinwheel at the time? how does it do its job, cannot fathom it. If it can quilt I'd buy one.

    • @aprilscraftroom
      @aprilscraftroom  14 дней назад

      Hi
So the Embrodery machine can quilt because I down loaded a quilting design from designs by juju
I did a live video showing the quilting step by step on a baby quilt
I think it might be more helpful for you to see it step by step
We did the whole crib size quilt in about an hour
See the link I posted in the next comment
      That’s the live video

There must be something wrong with your tension to create such wrinkles.
