For some reason, the skateboarding community is humble and intelligent.
I definitely feel, through Steve Caballero and Christian Hosoi, skateboarders should be respected.
Even people like Tony Hawk, Andrew Reynolds and Rodney Mullen, will all question whether there is a God out there, at some point?
I just thank God for opportunity. I thank him for all the kindness he has poured over the skateboarding community, and the richness of his blessing he has given to the invention of this sport.
I wish I had this blessing, as a talent, but God told me that I was more of a writer and an artist, more than anything else.
Skateboarding has just brought within me a sense of power, through being able to spectate a sport that started with those young at heart, and gave way to so many interested, and like-minded youths and adults.
Jehovah, bless the pioneers of skateboarding!

i also wonder if other skaters will come clean and get saved.... i respect Hosoi and Caballero more than Tony Hawk because Tony Hawk has had the gospel preached to him and has not produced fruit yet...but maybe one day
I love your story Steve, I'm not saying I share the same ethos, despite being sent to a school in His name, a very famous English school but you speak from the heart and that's what I see, hear and feel.
It's awesome you were healed - Im hoping I will to one day. Because I was stupid and blind, I lost my wife, my house, and my money. Im now a single dad and everyday its a struggle, its really hard cause even so called friends who claimed to be Christians turned their backs on me or mocked me. So I pray but often wonder why would God help me now - He didnt when I was going through my divorce and I know it's my own doing I just regret the amount of pain I brought my kids.
I still pray, but I have no idea, maybe cause I have no friends just acquaintances - maybe I do pray as a way to talk to myself and maybe there is a part of me that wants to believe God would forgive and help someone like me, but I don't know. Maybe this is how im ment to live for the rest of my life. Its been almost 4 years since my separation and divorce and its tough really tough. I push forward for the sake of my kids that's my reason to even try. If God is there I just must be too far gone to have that relationship with him I used to have when I was young. Life can always be worse I suppose. I wish I werent so stupid then I could have given everything to my kids that they deserve, I blew for them more than myself. Sorry for the rambling - just a lot inside me.
Psalm 34:18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
Call on the Lord and trust in Him. He is good. We deserve nothing and yet He has given us everything, He gave His own Son to die for us on a cross so that we could be saved and live with Him forever in Heaven and have a relationship with Him. No one is too far gone to have a relationship with Jesus. If He forgave me He can forgive you too, no sin is too big that He can't wash with His blood.

You are never to far gone, that's a lie from satan who wants to draw you away from God. God will forgive a truly repented heart
***** I feel the same way, and I lost the woman I loved as well because of my blindness, but I want to encourage you that you should read the words of Jesus in the Bible...He will give you hope. He healed people who were literally blind, and even cleansed sin out of prostitutes and men who hated Him...He even was able to heal the people who betrayed Him the worst after they knew Him for 6.5 years...His disciples...they left Him all alone when He was in the middle of giving His life for them....if He could do that for all of them, then you are not a lost cause, and neither am I! I asked Him today to forgive me and wash my sin away, and I know He did, despite how horrible it was. I used to have sex with women for sport...I would beat people up, even my own family members...I did a few suicide attempts...if He wanted to forgive me of all this, I know He wants to forgive you too!
i love you brother thank you for sharing, you will be healed too because you have faith, you will be healed this very day... Brother read the King James Version , listen to it on youtube, you will find answers... get yourself a bible and anytime you are feeling depressed open it to a random page... God can forgive all sins.. except blaspheming the Holy Spirit, a sin which has no forgiveness... but remember Jesus is merciful and he hears your every prayer and cry , God bless you you have a family here anytime you are welcome...Jesus will separate the real from the fake , like the parable of the wheat....

sigmiami I suggest that you read Romans 8. I'm sorry to hear about your situations but know that whatever we go through there can not ever be anything that can separate us from the Love of God, period. We are the ones who stop ourselves from connecting with Him. Know that He has and always will have open arms to His children, us all! Jah bless brother and praying your day goes great.
