I'm touched each time I hear about Gods Devine intervention into the lives of His creation. I'm the oldest of 5kids who grew up with a single mom. Life was tough and I wanted to end my life at 12 years old but God had another plan and my grandparents and mom took me to a Billy Graham crusade and I gave my life to Jesus at 13. He saved me and has walked which me all these years and never left me even when I failed Him along the road. Thanks for sharing Lacey.
The first song I heard of flyleaf was " sick " and he expresses exactly what I think .
And when I heard the story behind the song " chasm " I started researching a little more about the stories behind your songs until I got to the story of your life that you told in a performance that I saw in youtube . You made me see God very differently and see life in a completely different way . the way you described God made me see it in a way i never saw it before, your faith amazes me and your personality as well. Your songs ,the way you sing them and your storie strengthened my hope .
I wrote the song "chasm" in my English work and my school paper to convey the message transferred me to as many people as possible .
i sing your songs better then any ather song, these songs I can sing from the heart.

Today I saw thet you are no longer a singer in flyleaf ... please tell me it's not true ! ! ! ! ! ! ! flyleaf is the band i 've always looked for ! the singer is not the only star like most bands and you will not change your style because you're uccess and if you did then just you get better and not go bad ... I can't stop watching this video. I discovered it in 2011, I still come
back to this when I'm feeling depressed and worthless. Lacey, if you happen to see this, thanks for sharing your story, it has helped me so much, and even probably saved my life.
I've had this experience. Going to church and connecting spiritually. I cut and my friend took me. The pastor instantly felt. What I did. They prayed for me and I cried so much. The feeling was so empowering. I felt loved and needed. It's good to try.
I had the opportunity to talk with Lacey after a concert once. I was super nervous to meet her because she's been such an inspiration to me for so long, but she was so welcoming and sincere. She really has the sweetest spirit. She's living proof that God can make more out of our lives than we can on our own.
I had the pleasure of seeing her live this past weekend in Buffalo NY. Her testimony i'm sure has saved many, and you can see the amazing job God has done in her life. God can turn any bad and turn it into good for he's glory.

I've heard this speech a lot and it still makes me tear up. I'm thankful god saved her life so she can spread the message. I love Lacey and am so glad she helps so many, hopefully someday I can return the favor.
I swear, every time I hear testimonies as powerful as Lacey's, it literally moves me to tears. It was such an incredible feeling... words will never suffice to verbalize the emotion that flowed through my veins in that one moment when God finally won and took control. In one moment, God takes years upon years of lost battles and gives you the miracle of victory. I don't know how, but I can honestly say that He is here right now. He listens to me sing; He's sitting right there beside you. Always.
When she moves , she has an aura around her
When you hear her sing she sings with emotion and passion based on her past she uses that as fuel when she sings god love you sister for not leaving us

Crazy. I've had similarly depressing experiences so far, and I cry to watch her tell about those feelings...but I'm so glad she found happiness. It's truly inspiring (coming from someone who was also moved away from home for the same reasons & felt like an outcast as she explained.), but now I can say I found my one and only idol. Much love to her & her new family.
Her story still gives me goosebumps and even helps me to believe more. Thank you so much Lacey, I love you!
This touches my heart every time I watch this. Lacey is such an inspiration to me and hearing about how she came to know the Lord and become saved makes me so feel so blessed to have the father that we do.
I've heard her testimony on different videos so many times, and i don't get tired of it.
To be honest, I've lost a lot of my faith, I've gone through alot in the past and I've cutting a lot and been suicidal. I've thought about doing it and I was on facebook, and I came across a picture saying to go to this video if you have suicidal thoughts, I didn't think it was going to help. But this video didn't only help, it restored my faith. Thank you, to you, and the page that led me to this, bless you ♥

She truly is an angel. She has the soul, voice and personailty of one. Her voice and her lyrics have helped me through very tough times. I hope one day i get to meet her.

What an Awesome experience she had with God our Father! There has always been something about her voice that captured my attention. But when I heard the song all around me I just knew that she was a Christian. The anointing in her voice. Praise God Almighty who was & is to come!

This was so beautiful and I understand now. God wants you to accept him so he can take the pain away from you but normally people who are depressed push him away because "he's the one who put their depression on them." This was so perfect. I cried.

I think it might be a sign I landed on this, I have been struggling alot lately with a lot of crap, I enjoy listening to her music. This touched me what all she went though and what she is now.
Whoever disliked this video is heartless. I'm not Christian, but I *kind of* used to be. I had an experience a little like Lacey did with her cousin and I lost my faith, what little I'd had. I haven't gotten it back, and I don't see myself getting it back in the foreseeable future, but even I can appreciate Lacey's experience.

We genuinely believe that God is real and wants a relationship with everyone He has created. That most certainly includes you. He's passionately in love with you. There is NOTHING you and I can do to earn His love. It's freely given. We can't work our way to heaven. He did all the work. It's a free gift. It cost Him a lot, but for us, salvation is free.
Her story made me cry with her. I will always love Lacey for the inspiration and genuine love towards God and her fans. My heart goes out to her and Flyleaf!

This hit me really hard.. I've been so confused lately on what I believe in. I've been dealing with a lot of health issues that impact everything in my life and it seems as if things just keeps getting worse which really does not help me find faith at all. I try so hard everyday to stay strong, this video inspired me to try harder and to never quit
God is so happy. This was her purpose to not commit suicide. his plan was for her to use her beautiful voice to spread his word

Wow..this was an absolutely amazing story, it made me cry. As bad as things may be, I always try to remember that everything happens for a reason, and trust that God has a plan for me, for us all, and it will all be worth it in the end.
I really liked this testimony. You know, I think we sometimes look for some sort of HUGE signs of GOD. Look at the small things, there you'll find examples all the time of GOD's love. The smile of your child, nephew, niece, spouse, girlfriend whatever. The beauty of a sunset, the pure awesome experiences, ocean waves, Sunrise and Sunset. Its all around us, you only need to look with your heart and not your eyes always. Thanks for posting this.

some guy did her Grandma set up her getting a cancerous tumor in her throat and God healing it from the church praying over her? Did her Grandma set up all odds to her meeting the exact man she asked God for despite all the drama that happened to get her there? don't think so...

She didn't tell her grandmother she was suicidal. Her grandmother sensed something was wrong and begged her to go to church. Regardless of whether or not anyone had prior knowledge of her troubles, what was important wasn't that someone "miraculously knew", but being told that Christ is a heavenly father to those without an earthly father, and that someone loved her enough to want to pray for her, that pierced her heart and made her change her mind.
She is one of the best singers tbh. I love her. God Bless her!

I urge you to keep praying. I wish I knew the right words to saw. but all I can say is that the feeling of knowing God is always with you and actually believing it differs from the life anyone could have without him. It just feels lonelier, meaningless, empty. But when you truly believe and keep trying to believe despite those feels of disbelief and uncertainty you feel truly alive.

church is a hospital for sinners. ive had to realize and re-realize that god is our father if we want him tobe, and sometimes just can't comprehend how great his love is, but just that the love he is is all for us if we choose him. I choose God, my champion hallelujah!

This brought tears to my eyes. I literally have a whole new projectiom on things now. Its amazing.
When I was 5 a family member took my innocents away, he molested me again and again and again until I was 14. I never told another living soul till I was 17. I was depressed, angry, suicidal, frustrated, angry with God, Angry with my mother for not knowing what was wrong with me when I had temper tantrums, and I just wanted to be set free from this world filled with Lies, hate and deceit. I was raised in a family that preached about Christ's Love and Forgiveness, yet here I was screaming for
Its my understanding a lot of teenage girls go through alot of what she said she was going through. The "Im depressed no-one understands me" is pretty common.
Wow this was really moving. She's my idol.
This is the reason why she is my role model. Stay strong Lacey, and I will too.
We are in control of our own destiny. We should never feel guilty to believe in something that isn't real. You say that as if not believing was a bad thing. Whatever you're going through. It will only get better if YOU make it better and i know you have what it takes to make it better. Take action, take control, and you will get far. That is the difference between a person who succeeds and a person who doesn't. Praying will make little difference. Believe in yourself above all.
