I've been learning alot from your videos...I bought a ps5 on FB marketplace which turned out to be a scam and the ps5 is completely dead...Instead of get angry about it I decided to learn how to fix it...I just bought a new multimeter, a hotair station, and bench power supply...I am determined to fix this PS5! lol...I was really looking for an excuse to buy some new tools and learn some new skills anyway...Videos like yours have really been helpful, so keep up the good work!

I’m surprised how much those rollers affected the drive.
When you're dealing with oxidised pads, wouldn't it make more sense to wick them with RMA or RA electronics flux then clean it off, rather than scraping at them?
He removed the solder already with a wick x 2 I doubt doing it again would help much
@@why_wait RMA and RA flux are more "active" than what he was using.
They're designed to remove oxidation.
It's more a suggestion to try the right (chemical) tool for the job rather than scraping at things like a caveman

Hi,
Has a ps5 CFI-1215A Disk. Initially had 3 beep when plugged. Got a bios from badcap forum. Tried changing the serial using PS5 nor modifier( doesn’t have option for 1215a) . Tried manually editing line 7200 to change the serial. Now the device seems dead even with the original bios( no beep). Please advice. Thanks
It sounds like the bios dump you got could be corrupted to be honest

Xbox: HDCP is off unless you launch a movie disc or streaming app
Nintendo: HDCP is off unless you launch a streaming app
PlayStation: HDCP is always on unless you manually disable it in settings! And then you can't use movies or streaming until you manually enable HDCP again! 🤡🤡🤡

Great job on the repair! Speaking about the game Fortnite, I have a PS5 that I repaired and all games work perfectly, but Fortnite crashes. Can anyone tell me why and how to fix this issue? Don’t want to sell it without the game being able to play?

Probably overheating, have you tried giving it a service and cleaning it out?
@@Coopzzz360 I did clean it. It wasn’t really dusty and I also refreshed the Liquid Metal and added a little more
So, South Bridge replacement done based on the fact that it was on 37c, does not make a lot of sense to me on the troubleshooting end of things
It's not about the temperature bud, it's about the prolonged boot sequence. That said, I don't think it was the only issue. I need to do a revisit

Question - you sell chips on your webstore which I assume you're getting from donor boards. How do you know they are 100% working?, i.e. are they removed and put onto a working board and tested, then removed?

Hmmm... Joey fixed it, then it failed after a reboot. You fix it, and the wifi fails after a clean. Sounds like that PS5 might be a bit on the cursed side.😉
