For general cleaning like on this video (minus the liquid metal) I Presume it's doable without separating the main board and heatsink? 2. With the knowledge and experience up to now. Does your view still stand with the risk of liquid metal damaging the apu or other components, when stood vertically Vs horizontally after redistributing or applying new Liquid metal? An electronic load is a must have gadget for a repair shop,it can stress test anything while you check with an osciloscope if sth is working fine or not.Disclaimer.If you want a beast of an electronic load to test big time atx plus of the 800W and more range,you ll need a beast of a load,that costs quite a lot.But for most,up to 300 watts,you can buy an affordable one.Will save time,trust me guys.
Question: code 8083000 on UART says shutdown or freeze after SAM_IPL loaded GDDR6 data line issue (replace) means problems on APU or RAM? I don't have a thermal cam, but I can feel ram chips get warm whenever I get it to just pulse blue, mostly it just shuts off when I turn on, also I can feel the APU get hot as well
Hi Bro! Congratulations for your hard work. I have a similar problem, but for me it stops immediately after the playstation logo appears. It starts but when it reaches the logo and should enter the dashboard, it suddenly stops. If I enter safe mode, I have no problem, I can navigate through the settings without stopping. I tried reinstalling fw and recovery, nothing worked. How to get to the logo and enter the menu suddenly stops. I changed the HDMI encoder IC but it does the same thing. I did not detect any short around the encoder. I changed the power supply and it does the same. The Liquid Metal replaced. Your professional opinion about what it could be and where to start the search on the motherboard, would be very useful. Thank you very much for everything. Hello, have you ever had a slim with error Ce-108255-1? I've done everything but it keeps failing with PS5 games, PS4 games work fine. Could it be the memory controller, or some fault in the VRAM?
So the dry spot from the liquid metal caused all of this? I put my PS5 on its side but I swear it's rougher on the inner rings of the discs than when I have standing.
@@TheCod3r I have it on the side because of you and other repair guys, I told all of my friends and family to do the same with theirs. The inner rings I'm talking about the PS5 disc(or any disc) where you put your finger through, it seems for me at least that it's putting wear on those inner rings of a disc, the spot the disc drive grabs to spin the game and the spot you pop your finger through to handle the game disc itself.

Didnt click on this video at first bc the thumbnail looks similar to the previous video so I thoguht i already watched this. If it was diffeent thumbnail color scheme then i would have watch this earlier.

you can take the top 3 screws off the Blu-ray drive , much easier to connect cables that way
I had this happen to me. It was the power pack being blocked that caused it in the end. Once I took the ps5 apart and cleaned it’s not done it again 😄

Hello Phil, what is the thermal pad thickness of CFI-1200 series?
So mine was doing the same thing. Had the Liquid Metal replaced and cleaned out all the dust and it’s still happening any ideas? It’s in an open area.

Yeah, pretty much, mate. It is better on the side. I'm not sure what you mean by inner rings though

Well, the dry spot and the heatsinks and power supply being so plugged with dust that no air could flow through and keep things cool

That's overkill on screws sony could of done with far less and still secure mainboard just as well
mine turns off instantly after selecting a ps5 game while the ps4 games work perfectly without turning off the console
