- My guest this episode is the legendary Peter Hook of Joy Division, New Order, Revenge, Monaco, and The Light. Hooky's band, Peter Hook & The Light has been on a mission to perform live every song from the Joy Division and New Order catalogs and is doing a bang up job of absolutely smashing it. I know first hand as a fill-in bassist for tour of the US in 2022. One of the true pleasures of my life. I hope that you enjoy this candid conversation with one of the all time greats and a true punk.

I could listen to Hooky talk & reminisce all day. Fantastic interview.
I’ve seen Hooky and The Light about 5 times in Toronto and always remark on two things. First, his band is truer to the original sound of each song than New Order are currently and second, he is, pound for pound, dollar for dollar the best concert around.
Brilliant interview, what a fella Hooky is. There's virtually no chance New Order will play together again, but I do hope they can all mend fences one day and at least respect each other. It would be a crying shame for them to carry this to the grave.
Hooky needs to release some new tunes as The Light I bet they would be awesome

in the New Order divorce, I went with team Hooky. It isn't NO without Hooky, more a pet shop boys tribute act. I've fallen out with lifelong friends so I get how he feels
Still so full of hate towards to Barney, but happy to sing his lyrics and play massive NO songs/hits that he admits in his book, he had very little input in.If he was so involved in the song writing, where's some new material ?
Yeah just like the band that now call themselves New Order are still happy to play old New Order songs with Hooky's basslines, and in more than ten years have manged to write only one new album with 11 new songs.
You didn't read Substance did you? He said he had less input after the Regret single was completed, which not coincidentally is when New Order became steadily more boring. Even the song titles got less interesting. And Music Complete sucked.
Barney can’t sing and he doesn’t celebrate Ian’s kids, only goes on about his death not his life. Hooky all the way!
