The chrome dome suits you Martyn, also you piqued my interest in synth music, your first 2 albums were AMAZING, I have just built a system 100 and an Arp 2500, I know you had nowt to do with the Arp but, getting back to this both you and Hooky were on my headphones while I listened to Janice long, John peel n kid Jenson, you made me and I thank you 🙂
That was a lot of fun; for decades I've thought Peter Hook a grumpy old sod but now I've realised the error of my ways,! Love to hear more, where's the acid house addition???
I loved every minute of this. For some reason, I always knew he was from "Salford" (some others living there would prefer "Worsley") but never knew he grew up in Little Hulton. I originated from Little Hulton (I'm a BBC Audio Doctor Who author). I sincerely hope there is a Part Two as promised. Loved your interview, Martyn, with Gary Numan. Love Peter Cook. Please do pick up this interview where it leaves off.
This is awesome. Sound City 120 was my first amp as well. I saw Blondie at Max's and went to get a guitar the next day and start a band. They could not sell them $100 for the head and $75 for the speaker. $65 for the 62 Fender Jaguar and I was off to the races.
Martyn are you friendly with Phil? Do you think you ever will be, it was Bob Last that caused shit. I'd love to see you all just a picture, together honestly smiling
wonder how many of these guys lived with girls who worked and supported them... then, when they got money, they married someone else. THAT'S rock n roll. how many men would do that for a woman..? how did Gillian manage through those long lean years..?
would say an exception would be Robert Smith, been with his wife Mary since they were kids. Very rare in the world of music, she must have gone through some shit back in the early days.
Cracking Interview Martyn . Your Interview Style puts the guests at ease .Peter is an interesting Guy honest and tells it as it was ..

Peter Hook seems like a nice enough fellow. conservative though.
I'm no New Order fan, but I love what he did with the bass in Joy Division.
This is really dull.

No one cares 🤡
I wonder if Gillian is going to write 📝 her book about her life ?
