- Years later after high school Evan and Zoe bump into each other one day. They catch up on each other’s lives and become good friends. They hang out often and they’re always there for each other. As the months go by they both realize that they still have feelings for each other. While at The Connor Memorial Orchard Zoe confesses to Evan and while he feels the same for her, he’s terrified of hurting her again like he did all those years ago. Zoe is nervous as well she’s willing to give their relationship another chance after seeing how much they’ve grown as people. While Evan is still concerned he decides to give it a shot. They both continue to enjoy the afternoon in the orchard and soon forget they’re worries.
(Ok im definitely not a writer I just wanted to give context to what this animatic is about but got a lil carried away)
So this is based off an au thingy I thought up about Zoe and Evan getting together when they’re older because I thought it would be a cool idea to explore (and I just really like this ship) And if you don’t ship it that’s cool, this is just my opinion

I like this idea of them being older- cause it can also mean- maybe in my head- that Evan is getting another chance with Zoe after everything that happened and thats just adorable to me

I have a vision of what my happen after this scene:
Looks like Zoe is giving Evan another chance at this point not just because they’ve grown a lot older than last time but she’s tired of being mistreated and neglected by her OTHER boyfriend who’s narcissistic (yes Zoe might’ve moved on for a bit and got another guy named Donovan who’s actually friends with Evan…or at least he was). Anyways right after these lovebirds kiss, her ex-boyfriend is literally standing in front of them, heartbroken and enraged.
DONOVAN: *heartbrokenly enraged* I should’ve know…😢😡
ZOE: *suprised and scared* I-It’s not like that, Evan and I were ju-
DONOVAN: *ANGRY* DON’T YOU F%#KING LIE TO ME!!!!😡😡😡 *grabs Evan and Punches him in the jaw, knocking him down*
ZOE: *mortified* DONOVAN WHAT THE HELL!?!?😦😠
DONOVAN: *still angry* WHAT THE F🤬%K IS WRONG WITH YOU!?!? you in this area flirting with my friend to make me jealous!?!?!?
EVAN: *tries to get up* Please, it’s not her fault
DONOVAN: *Psychotic laugh* oF CoUrsE iT’s nOT…ITS F$%KING YOURS!!!!!!!*proceeds to fighting Evan*
ZOE: *terrified and upset* DONOVAN STOP!!! 😧😠 DON’T HURT HIM!!!! PLEASE!!!!😧😧😠
DONOVAN: *continues fighting Evan before getting yanked to the ground by Zoe*
EVAN: *coughs a little bit* Zoe?
ZOE: Evan are you okay!? *checks all over his body for any bruises*
EVAN: *smiles* I’m fine…don’t worry
Donovan lies on the ground in hurt for a while before getting back up to see Zoe escorting Evan out of the orchard woods.
DONOVAN: *tries to follow Zoe* Zoe please I know didn’t pay any attention to you and I know I messed up but PLEASE GIVE ME ANOTHER CHANCE!!! C’MON BABY PLEASE!!!
ZOE: *shakes her head* no Don, not anymore…we’re done.
DONOVAN: *looks at Evan with a glare* I thought we were FRIENDS!!!! I THOUGHT YOU WERE MY FRIEND!!!!!!!
Zoe and Evan leave as Donovan screams his pleas for forgiveness, they don’t respond as they get in her car.
DONOVAN: *crying* ZOE PLEASE!!! I’M SORRY!!! ZOE!!!! ZOE!!!!!!😭😭😭😭 COME BACK!!!!!!
The car leaves Donavan on the side of the road, fully Heartbroken and alone..

A year ago I just randomly rewatched the scene by skipping through the movie at HBO Max. Every piece of my heart burned and crumbled, realizing that the one person I related to this song to is gone because she didn’t need me in her life anymore and I thought that I would never have a connection like that with anyone ever. I kicked the couch like it owed me money, cried in the bathroom, and punched my invincible mirror.
A year later, I found someone else who I relate this song to but this time she… feels like my real soulmate and not just someone who I just like the idea of being with without a proper connection.
I lost her because I was a fearful fuck up and this song still gives me pain. Ironically this song is about conclusions with each other, what I suffered and am still suffering are the opposite.
