***** Then how come the Windows '95 versions act like humans? I haven't found any substantial evidence that they are either humans or robots, but this clip shows them lounging around, checking their phone and casually cleaning their weapons. It's a vast difference from the porcelain-faces, which move around like creepy toy soldiers with ridges backs and don't bend their arms or legs much at all and move around like they're being puppeteered. I'm not trying to argue with you, I'm sincerely curious as to how these soldiers are being portrayed.
Kodo Elder-Groebe Remember this is a sort of "vision", not everything is as they appear (just like how the hellhound looked like the white dog or you see Luna mimicking Noctis with th Beheamoth). The "soldiers" are probably normal looking citizens but Noctis sees everyone as an "enemy" thus soldiers.
Ok, this is what this trailer is describing, this is an omen seen by both Regis and Luna, an omen that depicts what would happen if Noctis went alone on his journey, the white dog represents Ardyn, the accursed that would lead Noctis astray into killing Luna himself, then it transforms it's appearance into a hellhound, revealing itself to be a false shepherd.
The voice that Regis is talking to is Ifrit the Infernian, how do I know? For one, this isn't mentioned in the game, but Ifrit is the one who started the Plague of the Stars because he hated humans, Bahamut the Draconian sealed Ifrit alongside himself in the crystal. When Ardyn obtained the crystal, he released Ifrit and made him his personal Astral. The one death Ifrit mentions is Noctis, the only one who can stop the Plague.
Need I say more?
Ok, so it isn't mentioned in the game, but where IS it mentioned? It reads quite plausible but I haven't read this in any official external material, just theories.

Hands down the coolest and most immersive video game trailer I've ever seen. I've watched it at least 30 times, but I've never played the game, and have zero intention to ever do so.
Omen shows
- regalia crashed /got broken (chapter 1)
- noctis chase pryna/luna to altissia (chapter 6 - 8)
- altissia get destroyed (chapter 9)
- pryna died / luna died (chapter 9)
- noctis losing power (chapter 13)
- evil dog revealed (ardyn guiding noctis to his plot)
- noctis killed luna (luna sacrifice for noctis)

I did really enjoy the game, a lot of work obviously went into it and it looked incredible. I feel like this trailer is a hell of a lot more epic and interesting than the actual story turned out to be though.
I loved the game as well. But the biggest disappointment was I was waiting for the events in this trailers to happen in the game. I was 90% through the game thinking that so much content was left because of what I had seen in the trailers. All of a sudden the game was done....
Doesn't help when the combat was so trivial that all battles were a piece of cake... The beginning half of the game was excellent with story, the last half was trash...
That's Sqware Enix for ya! I had previous experience with the opening scene of Crisis Core showing Zack jumping and flying and the actual gameplay was nothing like that.

This is actually a vert interesting trailer. As I've heard, this is supposed to be the omen that King Regis prevented by sending Noctis off on the trip with his friends. But I'm curious as to how it would get to the point where Noctis fails to remain true to himself and kill Lunafreya. It could be that without support, he could fail to remain true to his character and be manipulated by people like Ardyn. I know we're not supposed to take every scene literally, but I'm still trying to understand how exactly this could have gone without his friends. I do think Square Enix was leaning towards the theme of friendship and the support that comes with it can lead to a brighter future. I'm just very curious about how this could have gone, without them. But after playing the game, it is safe to say that his friends are what gets him through. He goes through a state of depression constantly throughout the game and the only people to lift him up are his friends, who stand by him. It really reveals the importance behind Ignis, Gladiolus and Prompto. I have yet to watch the movie and anime series, but I wonder if it's safe to assume that this omen is the reason why Regis kept Ignis, Gladiolus and Prompto around Noctis from a young age. I know it's not for his own physical protection, as it's revealed through the omen that Noctis is capable of dealing a large amount of damage and can fend for himself when necessary, but it's also clear that he is far too powerful for his own safety. On his own, he can amount to his real potential, but when he has support, he doesn't really need to use up or even aim to reach his full potential. Anyone else have any thoughts on this? I'd love to hear any other personal opinions.

i totally agree especially the scene when he was so depressed due to Lunafreya's death. without his friends i don't think he will be able to pull himself out of that state.
The part where he kills Luna could’ve easily been an illusion made by Ardyn to make Noctis think she is Ardyn, like what happened with Prompto
Would also explain the grief he had upon realizing he was the one who killed his betrothed
Without his friends and others to depend on he would have no way to defend himself from Ardyn’s tricks and he probably wouldn’t even have the Royal Arms to fight Ardyn with if it weren’t for Cor

Damn was this misleading. Although it did force more emotion for Lunafreya in this four minute video than it did in that entire game.
It was/is. Looking back, it was just an attempt to get long time fans of the original concept back on board by tricking us into thinking the new version is just as haunting as the old.
Nope, this trailer was just showing a vision king regis had, pretty obvious, of noctis if he went on his journey alone, which is why regis made his friends go with him

People praise Pixar for having such "amazing" animation, but nothing they have done has ever come to this. This looks breathtaking. Will the game be this good? We don't know for sure, but this video still is a masterpiece.
Is that really a comparison you want to make? I mean, if there is one thing Pixar has never been aiming for, it's realism.
Considering FFXV was made with Mocapp and Pixar movies were made purely by hand (as in each pixel was handmapped, little to no Mocapp), it's more reasonable FFXV would have this kind of product. Also, why can't pixar be amazing in its own right, without depreciating the quality of FFXV? Both can be amazing you know. Neither are dependent on the other's quality.
That is simply a bizarre comparison, they are two very different styles of animation, the quality can't be judged on that. That's like saying that Mario has worse graphics or animation than Uncharted 4, it doesn't, they are just extremely different styles.

But we will know, the game releases in a month 😂 Besides, my point was that people were saying the we've been shown most of the game, evidently that's not the case, a trailer like this would not exist if not to hint at a possible conflict, and nothing we've been shown before has hinted at the absence of the rest of the party or Noct's potential dark side
They have once said that the events that they showed is only a prologue to what's really going on. Just cant wait XD
yeah their official stance is 'nothing we reveal pre-release is spoiler material, regarding story'... emphasis on story. it might be a power up, trance, limit break, etc.

Hajime Tábata did a great job and the story was already finished and the dlcs and canceled dlc was to tell rest of the story and the true ending Which is now in the form of a book , Blame square enix to use a engine That didn't even work for this generation of consoles but only on the PC , hajime Tábata only have 3 years to do the game only sleeping 3hours a day this story is very beautiful and complex
You are 100 percent right but that doesn't change the fact they made a fake trailer and released deeply flawed game. I'm playing it right now for the 2nd time so clearly I enjoyed it but people can only judge the final product not the trials and tribulations that went into the final product.

Jonny NetFlash here's my theory what if his attempt to prevent it is what leads to it? What if this is set in the second half of the game which so far we know nothing about. And he has become this because one by one he's watched all of his friends die. Most things with prophetic dreams like this end up that the things they do to prevent it is what leads to it.

Watching a let's play is one of the most stupid things. Where's the joy in watching someone else play the game?

Pierrot. It depends on the player. For the Last Of Us it was like watching a movie. You grab some popcorn and sit back and just watch. Same with Walking Dead. Best part is, good players cut out the parts where they get stuck, so you get full gameplay and story without any of the pointless filler. I could play the games, but I don't enjoy playing them as much now that I am older. I am filled with too much salt @_@;

It's hard to bring words from what i feel. It was just over a decade ago we saw Versus 13 as a spin-off in 13's world, then shoot forward to now, and here it is, as the 15th game in the series. It really brings a certain..." Whoa " to your mind, knowing you've been following the game, the changes, the developers, us, as the fans, following this project for so long. And, in just two days...it will finally be released. It's weird, yet satisfying, and mysterious.
they should make full out movies of this kind of cinematic, its just so beautiful

I’ve played FFXV, and I love it. But I always felt like it wasn’t complete. I hope they actually make a game based on this trailer. Like a alternative reality.

@@shahidul5067 it would be even better if they were to incorporate some of the versus 13 stuff like where you could explore in your dreams. Unfortunately all of this is only wishful thinking. I dont think SE would willingly hurt their game's reputation by creating an alternate timeline for us to play in.

Despite feeling nothing when Luna died but I do feel sad for her character's predicament. It seems like she was never happy, only when herself and noct were young and before she died cause she get to see noct for the last time.
Noctis' clothes being ripped and torn should've been a feature added into the game. It's kind of badass imo

No matter how much people are whining here 'bout the game. I was enjoying every second, no matter if this was in the game or not. It's an "Omen", ofc it doesn't happen like this in the game. But even then, i loved the game and still does.

Shiver Fang Yes I know that it is not a major spoiler but for me as a game story lover, I want to know all those cutscenes while playing, it just gives us more and more hint and clue to expect what to see inside the game and wait for the twist and answers to comeout on their mouths. It is like a book, you can read it but u only know what the intro or summary of the book u r reading, the same as the game, dont show too much trailer of what to come, just a small trailer and that's it. they have shown too many trailers since the early years, now we know that the king had done something, so we will now wait and see what comes next, not really good.
One example of the good trailer is like Dark Souls, the developers really love the players to learn the lore inside the game, not to show too much of what happened on the past, what happened in the middle
