- Greetings from Vietnam! I'm here filming a new series for the Food Network and wanted to give you a little taste of behind the scenes. I've had such a brilliant experience so far traveling to Sapa and trying some incredible food at the Bac Ha market!

I live in Asia Donal, just a few hours flight from Vietnam. We'll definitely have to check it out. I love the markets. They are sheer chaos and total delight all rolled into one. The best thing is you never know what you'll find. I wish I had your adventurous spirit. Enjoy everything you can.

My family is mixed with vietnamese and Chinese culture and my mom half white and my dad is half Chinese and they both are half vietnamese as well, in about 8 months from today I will be graduating highschool I will be taking a trip with my mom and take her back to her home town NhanTrang, never been over there but I heard that it is beautiful, I'm glad you had a great time Donal!!

an adventure in Sapa and Bac Ha is interesting even to a Vietnamese, Hanoi born and raised, like me. It's always nice to see my country through the lens of foreigners.

Donal, what an amazing gift you have such an adventurous and accepting palate! Hope you had a great time in Vietnam. You really did our cuisine justice by showcasing the much lesser known yet equally scrumptious and sophisticated dishes. Donal Skehan If you do get the chance to travel the different regions, make sure to try all the food you can. The taste is very different between the Northern, Central and Southern Vietnam. Enjoy what my country has to offer ;)

If you ever travel near Hanoi, ask around for Bun (boon) cha (jia) Hanoi. It's pretty much deliciously charbroiled (over hot coals) meat patties and pork belly all mixed in a tangy fish sauce. You get a side of rice noodles too. It's ridiculously delicious and a must have!

Man you just taken me back a few years to the great food, people, views and some of the best coffee I had (well 3 kilos made it home) I remember sitting in Sapa eating all sorts of good thinks and quit a bit of rice wine... now I just have a big stupid smil on my face :D

You definitely should go to the middle and the south of Vietnam, Hoi An Town in the middle is stunning and Ho Chi Minh City is awesome too. I'm a big fan, watch your video all the time. Where are you in Vietnam???. I wish i could see you so bad 😂😂

If you have the time, Ha Long Bay and the imperial palace (in Hue) are must see. Hoi An would also be a beautiful place to visit.
