I was in San Sebastian last summer and enjoyed the most amazing jamon iberico, pinxtos, and that beach, que magnifico!
***** Such a great place!
I was in San Sebastian last summer and I loved the food so much. I wrote all the pintxos I had in a list so I can reproduce them at home. I love the variety of products we have in Spain. The food we make and its flavours makes me feel like I'm in love :)
"Percebes", that is what those " dinosaur toes" are called here in Portugal, are in fact really expensive. I have a restaurant that specialises in sea food across the street and they sell it at about 80€ per kilo. My grandfather used to go the a local market and get those for me, exclusively. Nobody else in the family was allowed to eat them. He used to say that watching me eating it made him very happy.
Hope the Lisbon food is as satisfying as the Spanish one!
Most of the members from my favorite Spanish band come from San Sebastian.
They always encourage people to visit the city promising they will find very beautiful sights and great food so I've always wanted to go but have never had the chance to so... Thank you !!
That pudding looked off the charts, omg!
Amazing experience, what a fantastic city, these plates looked awesome.
About time someone showed the world that food in Spain is AMAZING. So much more than what people think! Also, San Sebastián/Donostia is such a beautiful city!! A million thanks, Donal, from a 'Spanish Lady' living in Dublin. :-)
MY CITY!!!! ;) Hope you had fun!
Hola Julen loved it!!
I'm so excited for you to be in Lisbon! I hope you have or had a great time! Love from Portugal :)
Donal Skehan Spain is a country full of gastronomic treasures. You should come back some other time and visit more cities. Each part of Spain has some different kind of dishes and all of them are delicious :D

In Spain it is called "percebes" and it is so good and really spensive, I live in Galicia, Spain, where is the best place to eat all kinds of seafood.
Leti Tizón They were pretty tasty in the end even though I was a bit dubious!

Hi Donal:
Funny you did not know San Sebastian is famous for its food culture. Make sure to get back there, to try everything, it really is worth a visit or two...
And now heading to Lisbon? Lucky you.
Make sure to try the original Pasteis de Belem...and of course many of the other culinary delights Portugal has to offer!
Enjoy your trips.

Donal! I did like this video. Do start a gastronomic society in your part of the world. Just find people who are as hard working as they are passionate about all things culinary. Blessings ChefMike

I didn't know that barnacles are edible O_O
Ocha~Lady These ones are anyway even though they REALLY don't look like they are! :)
please come to Israel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You must have a LOT of money! Because you go to a different country, like everyday! (Well at least every thursday) cuz ut costs about €200 or more or something like that. Qne you were so lucky to havw those 'dinosaur toes thingeys' for free, because you would NOT pay €150 for a plate a those, would you?😁
The Cupkake Queen you're right wouldn't pay that much no, thankfully we got to know that great fisherman! :)
Donal Skehan or Donald Trump for President?
