Wah, I really love these vlogs in Vietnam! I hope there will be more like these in different countries. The food looks amazing, and I'm so impressed on how open minded and cool Donal is about trying all the foods!
Oh that first dish... need it in my life!
"Hello man behind me." And then he waves... Hahaha. Made my day.
Love your positive bright attitude!
I've lived in Hanoi almost my whole life. This video makes me miss home so much. Glad that you tried Hanoi street food. And your friend did a really good job when he shows you good street food in Hanoi. Still have a lot more for you to try. Hope you will come back someday.
Hanoi, lovely place with delicious food. Eating on the street and enjoying the chaotic, busy, noisy and a little bit ancient. Amazingg video, thank you so much for this because after watching it, i could know some good place to go in Hanoi even i'm a local
+nguyễn thảo haha that's great!
I love how fearless you are when trying food, even when you arent sure about it you just pop it right in!
Love the lad saying "hello" behind you while you were enjoying those pig ears, haha!
really excited to see you in hong kong
LOLs at those people staring at you vlogging! Ahhh I miss home so much.
Thanks for doing Vietnamese food justice for once Donal!
Aw! I was there just last month on my honeymoon! Absolutely loved Vietnam!! Food was so fresh! Highly recommend to travel there. Hubby and I want to go back!! Love your show Donal. Love from NZ!
Living in Ireland now but watching your video really took me back to the time living in Hanoi. What a wonderful place to enjoy thousands of delicious and cheap street food!
TT is the man.Good that you got to see the streets with someone who clearly knew what they werer talking about.
Oh, my dear, Donal. You never fail to impress me. You are so amazing. :)
Love the last one. Pig ears with herbs... looks so delicious!!!
how lucky you are with a great friend as a tour guide!!!
Vietnamese street food. ya, especially in Hanoi, it's fabulous!!!!
I love how organic everything is. Instead of planning profusely and setting tons of rules they kind of just let things fall where they may and it works just fine. Evolution is so cool. Is food like that what the average person eats daily? Looks so fresh and delicious! I'm even a bit jealous...
Gosh! Your voice is so adorable! I'm glad that you enjoy Vietnamese street food. :)
Donal Skehan your vlogs are perfect!
I really enjoy watching it!
This video was definitely the best one out of the other Vietnam videos! That dipping sauce looks amazing
Pig's ear in my opinion is actually the best part of the pig. I don't even like bacon or ham but I do like pig's ear.
Loving these kind of videos Donal! I miss Viet Street Food, it's so delcious! So great to see that you're not afraid to try new things/ dishes.
Love this video so much!!! I'm from Vietnam and I'm so glad you came to my country. I wish you can come more and more times to try all of our best food--from Vietnam with love:3

different culture literally and figuretively with open arms is just great. Keep it up! xo

I'm so glad that you made a food vlog about other food beside Pho and those very common food you've heard or seen they talked about all the time. Hanoi has lot more stuffs you gotta try out!

Oh Im glad U enjoyed your trip.. Cant wait to summer when Im visiting my family there :)
I love these, Donal, it makes me want to travel, and eat everything in sight! You should definitely do more in the future if/when you travel :)
Hanoi street food looks awesome! You'll love Hong Kong! Make sure you try Dan Tat (Egg Custards) and Gai Dan Jai (Egg puffs, basically pancakes in bit sized form, not sure). Char Siu bao is also a popular one. You can either get it steamed or baked
wow this is amazing skehan! Thumbs up!!!
This was such an experience to watch. I love how open you are to new foods and settings! I'm from vancouver and I mean our chinese (I know this is vietnamese) markets are pretty crazy and busy, but this is a whole nother level! It's such a culture shock from fancy gluten free high tea places or whatnot, and makes me want to head back to Asia so I don't have to live vicariously through you! But in the mean time, keep the videos coming! Love it! xx
I'm so chatty tonight! Just watching as I comment ;) Don't you just love the texture of pigs ear? its soft with a great crunch of the cartilage! I grew up on a breakfast of congee served with pigs ears and cow tongue and it is my definition of comfort food! x
Thanks for taking me along on your epicurean tour of Hanoi! So much fun it makes me want to hop on a plane and go. :)
Great video! I ate some of the best food in my life when I was in Vietnam. Literally food heaven!

Great video Donal. It felt like being there.
Fun and interesting! I'd love to visit Vietnam in the future!
Great vid. It brings back lots of memories for me. I loved the food in Vietnam. I spent 2 months there in 2009 (before I started making travel videos myself) and thoroughly loved it. I might have to go back again soon, this time armed with a camera.
Looks awesome :)!
Can't wait for your cookbook :)
Enjoyed the trip, Donal! TFS :)

sparkletone1684 isn't it beautiful?!
Your vlogs are awesome, Donal! :)
But...the snail part was so hard for me to watch, lol :D I am more into classic European food :)
The officer man behind you (around 6.32) looks so jelly... I think he wants beer too. ;)
There is a lot of people in Vietnam.
Wish you a fun weekend! :)
My mouth is salivating😛
It is amazing to see how Donal loves the vietnamese food, makes me proud to be a Vietnamese haha! I want to go back to my motherland so muccch ;(
rachaelhale97 it's delish :)
I thought I would never this: "I want to snail" :)
P.S. love each video of yours.
amazing the food looked tasty
Hanoi nightlife seems so busy crowded and fun! I wish I could visit there someday.
I admire your openness to various kinds of food, even some seem to be a little bit strange for no local people.
I am a vietnamese and while I'm watching this, I'm so proud that I am a vietnamese. Thank you very much. oh by the way I also love all of your recipes.
Lol "hello man behind me checking things out"😝
That was really nice. I kind of want to go to Hanoi now, too.
Yummy, love hanoi food
nice!! great to see what Hanoi street food is like :)
I love the soup pho! I miss eating it back home lol
I have very fond memories of the Vietnamese street food! Did the series air on Food Network UK yet?
***** so tasty isn't it! Series started on monday and is showing tonight and tomorrow night at 6.30pm!
young anthony boudain... good luck in your adventure...
Thanks for ur nice video ☺️☺️☺️
Hanoi is so beautiful, and I'm proud to be Hanoian 😍😍😍
Oh You've been to Hanoi, Donal!! hope you visit Cambodia ^^ Anyway, that's great video.
Here in Norway, there is a dish called "Bohonnj" (which either means "live-hound" or "hut-hound"). Basically seasnails boiled in sea water). Not bad, but not the best thing in the world. It's not very common anymore, it was more of a thing before we got the oil. People (poor people that is) would also eat seaweed and sea-urchins.
Ahhhhhh. I love you. I live in HN and hopeing can meet you someday. Have a nice trip
Hi, nice trip and video! :)
Wow. Hanoi street food is so amazing. Next time please visit Ho Chi Minh City and try street food in there, it's absolutely fabulous.
Omg I'm so jealous!!
nice
I'm really glad you went to our country. I am from saigon but have never been to hanoi. You should try saigon street food as well :)
BupBe inc Oh love Saigon, was there a few years ago :)
Donal Skehan looking forward to amazing vlogs like these. I like how spontaneous and adventurous you are.
You should go to Ho Chi Minh city too, another place is famous for street food in southern of Viet Nam. I would be your tour guide if you want. :))
YYYYYAAAAASSSSSSSSS
What an adventure. I think I'd like the snails the best. The pig ears rolls are as exotic as the beef brain tacos I once had in Mexico. I marvel at your palate that enjoys the spicey hot chilis; I consider you an honorary Mexicano because of it. LOL
Lue Sunpuwar well thank you :)
Lue Sunpuwar I sure would prefer ears over brains
