I had 78 Bronco for 20 years , counldn't kill this 351 mod. put a timing chain in it after 60,000 but that was it. Never let me down, plowed snow and graded my long laneway with it, what a work horse. Sat in a field for 5 years in the muck. Finnaly took it out because steel was worth a lot, put some gas in the carb and fired right up after 5 years, and some young boys bought it for $500 and drove it home, and made a mud buggy out of it. Wonder why I always loved Fords , that's only one reason why.
You're right, Greg. Not too many people had 4WD back in 1978. We had The Blizzard of '78 in February in New England, and they were begging for anyone with 4WD to drive doctors and nurses to and from the hospital. From then on, I wanted to get a 4WD vehicle and I got a '79 Scout II that November.
250k is a lot of money for a old school truck i would by that if i come into alot of money for sure i would have to win the lottery because having a car note would take me forever to pay that off i would want to pay cash for it one day
