Mel has totally transformed the band at this point
Not for better.
I saw them twice and they were great!!! Best era the 80’s I hate 2000’s!!!!
Got this on 12inch and what a brill song! I'd completely forgot about the Oxford Road Show.
My all-time favorite of theirs. NOTE: on the LP version, Jim Kerr sings "Airport playing Brian Eno" -- as in Eno's MUSIC FOR AIRPORTS. Here, he sings "Airport playing 'Baby's on Fire'" -- a funny, cool, outrageous leap of imagination referencing the most famous song from Eno's first album HERE COME THE WARM JETS! (not a song likely to be played in any airport anywhere anytime). Sadly, SM went for the bucks and became "U3" -- but on this song, and this video, you can see why I still stand by their first five and a half albums. Thank you, Mr. Kerr.
SM I travel is my addiction
LOVE THIS
