Another great vlog from Bjorn, full of good information on the new Zoe. As an e-Niro owner of 6 months and 12,000 km I have come to the conclusion there is a ‘charging gap’ with the e-Niro and most other EVs on the market. Like most EV owners most of my charging is done at home and I get 2.2Kw typically...so am adding about 12 km every hour which is fine for me. On the occasional long trips I have used 50Kw DC chargers and they work really well. Adding over 200 km while taking a 40 minute break is fine. Problem is that In France, and I suspect most other countries the 7-22Kw AC chargers greatly outnumber DC Rapid chargers. There are AC chargers in every little village around here... but the e-Niro tops out at 7.2Kw..which adds about 40 km in an hour. If my car could take 22Kw AC like the Zoe I could put 120 km on in an hour, over lunch say which is a really useful top-up..So the ‘charging gap’ is for me between 7kw and 50Kw...The Zoe seems to have filled that gap with 22Kw AC..this could be a winner. Even a 110 or 135hp Zoe isn't slow by ICE standards, about 90-100hp is normal for such a car on petrol, with ICE acceleration being even worse with same bhp of course.
In Holland there are almost no 22Kw chargers most of them are 11Kw chargers.... BTW I can't wait for Bjorn to test a Peugeot e-208 (or a Opel Corsa) when it comes available! Greetings from Holland.
Old Zoe has apparently not sold very well in Norway. Is this because the blue/red 3-phase connectors issue (TN vs IT 3-phase grid) ? Will the new Zoe work with both 3-phase grids in norway?

Kan lett bli en storselger i Norge nå som 50Kw DC er mulig👍 Som du påpeker i videoen så er ladefleksibiliteten unik i sitt prissegment👍
I think Renault says the heating should work while charging. Compared to the R90 (41kWh) where you had to use the pre-heat function that sucks bigtime because fan went full speed and stops after 10 minutes... So please check with Renault and please test this again! :) I use Eco mode a lot in my R90 because itgoes 95km/h but in downhills it does not regen and increase the speed instead if you have the speed limiter set to like 110.. thats a cool feature to save range. It also slows down a bit in hills too....
The problem with ECO mode is that it reduces the heating inside... It is one thing to save energy on driving, but freezing when driving does not work for me... I wish that Renault would have separated those two functions.
I'm 5ft 3" (163 cm) the lack of height adjustment on the seats is a big negative for me (and cup holders and glove box in current Zoe) and I have to have 2 cushions to get me to the right level. I still on my second Zoe as it's otherwise suits me well. Looking forward to the call to come and look at the new one. That being said on most cars I need the full seat adjustment. Borrowed an A class Merc last year and when the seat was right for driving I banged my head every time trying to get in and out.
The A Class actually has a mode (if you have the right options, of course) where it will automatically move the seat when you turn the car off to make it easier to get out.
Why need a gear shifter??? Why not every use use like Merc & Tesla style liver. I had it in my 2009 ML. What a waste of space, you can easily use this space for storage or cup holders.

The regen is stronger when batteries are less than 66%
Old Zoe has apparently not sold very well in Norway. Is this because the blue/red 3-phase connectors issue (TN vs IT 3-phase grid) ? Will the new Zoe work with both 3-phase grids in norway?
Hei:)
Har sannsynligvis sett alle dine elbiltester siden du startet med Tesla S😊
Sansen for dine hvermansen reviews.
Hey Bjorn, can you get hands on Peugeot e 208 ? You are the best reviews guy here....
No adaptive cruise control? Should really be standard these days especially for the premium you pay for these new EVs.
so if i drive around 40 km/day, i can charge once a week only ??????
It's depend on what kind a of driver you are, if you're driving in city streets you can do week without charging
The soc can not cope with fast swipes mate, not enough ram for it( for the screen)
The map is snappier than on the EQC
Great video, very informative. How tall are you and did you find the driving position spacious? I am 190cm tall so this is important to me.
"Oh that is very slow man" -Bjorn
Do you have a list showing the decibels for other EVs? 73db seems high on a motorway.
Is it comfortable sleeping in this car?
Ciao quanti KWh reali ha la ZOE, e in DC a che Potenza massima carica.
Grazie
You need to start testing the horns :D
@@Xenon0000000000001 Yeah, it was a hire car. Got the usual briefing.
The material between the leather on the seats are recycled materials using old car's belts
Reanult ZOE costs 32k €.
Reanult Clio RS LINE costs 20k€. Similar car and you save a lot of money.
Great channel i just found you, please include charging costs at charge stations, thanks.
The old Ampera has both SOC and GOM on the dash. It's really a very futuristic dash, considering it's a 2012 car
And the current Leaf does it too.
@@fintrollpgr and the old leaf too😁
then
Bjørn needs to look at the dashboards more when driving evs :)
The regen for the brakes is not activated before the car is "hot"
You also say it does not have lane assist.. i think it actually has active lane assist.
Great review many thanks
ooooo no AC while charging? that is kind of weird?
Can you set a charge limit on the new Zoe? Really miss that on the current one to preserve the battery.
Why need a gear shifter??? Why not every use use like Merc & Tesla style liver. I had it in my 2009 ML. What a waste of space, you can easily use this space for storage or cup holders.
Agreed!
I wonder is it in part not to scare away people who are sceptical of ev' s. Make it look and feel like an ice car that they are use to and it doesn't feel as big a change
@@ultansadventures It is also more convenient to switch between forward/reverse quickly, when manoeuvring in confined spaces.
They need to start addressing the cpu power of the ui. The laggy stuff from the last 30byears is not acceptable anymore (well... never was)
Ow yes this is the good shieet where I have been waiting for man. You never stop amazing me.
Please show the glove box next time. 😃
