After watching this video, I finally have enough of these electric cars. I also think that natural gas cars are better for the environment. And moreover, it is much more reliable and faster to load.
CNG cars can be ok for the environment if you fuel it with 100% Biogas. The problem with that is, how much of of the crops are you willing to use for fuel instead of food.
@@prerunnerwannabe I didn't mean liquid gas, but compressed natural gas. (CNG, 200 bar) The losses after refueling are minimal here. If you have a gas connection at home, you can even install a small compressor in the garage at home. Audi and other companies have developed a process where excess electricity, such as Wind power is converted into hydrogen and then into methane. This methane is fed into the natural gas network and can then be refueled in the car as required.
Lothar Meyer each time you convert energy to a new form you lose some. None of those conversions is 100% energy efficient, so the fewer conversions the better (I do realise it is excess renewable energy which is being fed in which would otherwise to to waste).
@@Bin216 That is why superfluous electricity is converted to methane. It's always a thing with efficiency. A solar module also uses only 20% of the sun's radiation. Or another example. A total of maybe 0.01% of the radiation from the sun arrives on Earth at all. And how much of this radiation on Earth is used by us? Not even 1%. Not even 1 per mille. And the potential for producing methane from solar power is huge.
@@prerunnerwannabe CNG tank must be replaced every 10 years. I don't think that modern cars will last more than 20 years before scrapping them. So that is one change for the tanks and I doubt you are still going to be the owner of the car at that time. Usually 2nd or 3rd owner has to deal with it, for once. CNG/LPG stations are reliable more than charging stations for EV for sure and even if not, you still have some petrol to drive to another fuel station. Currently the most environment friendly cars are tri-fuel HEV/PHEV with ICE burning cheaper and enviro-friendlier gas with EV part of the system running 80% of the time in the city-urban area.
Matthew Harker are you able to recommend a EV-car-rental in UK (Tesla Model 3, Kona, Leaf 2 are suitable) Need to compare the long journey from Munich to Dover versus going by train to London (or any other southern coast town) and start from there a 4 weeks roundtrip.

Such a shitty car
Currently the most environment friendly cars are tri-fuel HEV/PHEV with ICE burning cheaper and enviro-friendlier gas with EV part of the system running 80% of the time in the city-urban area.
we need your fast charging infrastructure in the UK. Its Tesla or nothing here at the moment pretty much (ssshheeeeeet)
Matthew Harker are you able to recommend a EV-car-rental in UK (Tesla Model 3, Kona, Leaf 2 are suitable)
Need to compare the long journey from Munich to Dover versus going by train to London (or any other southern coast town) and start from there a 4 weeks roundtrip.
@@PeterBirett evrent.co.uk is the main one as the "normal car rental companies " don't have them in stock yet . It's about £320 a week for a Model 3
