I don't think you guys understand how much these video's impact your viewers. Especially when they come out on Friday's. I am stuck in a toxic job right now, that just absolutely drains me, but after watching this videos at the end of a migraine inducing week, it inspires me to ditch running to my bad habits of playing games or watching reruns, and gets me in my oven of a garage to work on cool things myself. I also have an 94' Cherokee that I have slowly been turning into an Overlander, so I can fish the mountain streams on the weekends with my dog!

You inspired me to do. I’m 14 and I’ve never fabricated it even welded until now, and today I did. My dirtbike needed a new skid plate, and after watching this video I went and Made one using our mig and the cutoff wheel, and it turned out actually really good. Thank you very much for helping me to do this!
Forgot to say I made the skid plate out of an old metal folding chair I found in the dumpster at our church, works great

You need to add rails on the bottom edges of each side. This will give you sharper turning and more controlled turns at high speeds. Love what you guys do! Keep up the great work boys!

Ethan, if you are getting a stainless impeller for this, you are in for a big surprise. Stainless impellers make a HUGE difference in performance.
I can't wait to see the trailer build for this. All the builds are epic and just makes me wanna finish all my projects that much more.

@@berinslaptop they could always build a few different trailers for it. one on air like they stated and another with an actual live axle using some sort of PTO off the camper. that way its a 6X6 lol.
No idea if you guys are planning on it at this point, but @aserta 's suggestion on the last video about an auto inflating rescue buoy definitely seems like a solid next step in the build, just to make running it a little less sketchy. Also, I feel like some padding on the dash of the boat to protect knees/shins would be a good quality of life upgrade.

6 or 7 feet robe to tow would be sufficient to get away from the jet stream when tubing/wakeboarding behind. Very very cool build.
also an important feature to think about adding is a bilge blower so it can blow all of the (potentially) flammable gasses out before you start it up so the boat does'nt have a chance to blow up.
This has got to be rapidly becoming one of your favorite projects. 👍

a good ski rope mount you can buy off the shelf is a standard 2" towball, i've been using one for years and it works great

4:10 - A wake tower would be sick though even if you'd never pull from it. Imagine having little speakers mounted to it and it would double as a roll bar!

Definitely would be best to wear a helmet if it did have a roll bar I would think.

I'll never forget the first time I saw you guys on this little tree house special of tree houses around the world...not the tree house masters one...and since then I've always been a grind hard plumbing fan and now I make content and I never understood the amount of time you guys put into a video, I mean the builds alone are crazy then to go edit all the video is a whole other ball park! Keep it coming and doing what you guys do! Love it all since day one!❤️
20:44 shows how tight of a slalom course you could set up and to timed runs against each other. Start/finish line then 50' flat out then through a slalom then 100' to get to about top speed then a 180° u-turn around a buoy and back through the course.
The engine turn pattern on the back is perfect!!! You need to do the whole boat so it looks like fish scales.

As a long time commercial fisherman, I too love drilling large holes in things that are supposed to float. Especially brand new ones!

When you see a tube being pulled by a boat the same size as a tube. Laughter engulfs you. It's the best damn thing I've ever seen on water! I love your work so much especially having lived in Idaho almost my entire life.
Just a heads up guys unless your state is different from most - you technically need a wide angle rear view since you don't have an observer to legally tow a tuber. Hate to see you nabbed for something stupid and end up in court like WD! This is such a cool project - turned out great.
Idaho is dumb. an observer/flagger is required and so is room in the boat/PWC for all towed passengers. for example, It takes a 3 person capable jet ski to pull one person. so...yeah they should be careful. also there is no displayed registration.
@@derekbiggers694 PA is similar - 3 person PWC w/ observer. They don't have boat capacity defined but require a spotter UNLESS you get a permit to use a mirror w/ no spotter BUT it has to be for a specific weekday before 10am UNLESS you get another one saying on a specific day it can be after 10/weekend/holiday. It's so dumb.
There is so many peoiple with boats who are rich posers. People who want to impress. This kind of people don't deeserve speeding on crazy jet boat in 1% like Ethan do. Ethan fking MADE IT and now he's ripping. This is like most organic showing off in history of humanity. 1000% deserved respect. Love ya guys. In this materialistic times this channel is like a cure for humanity and You Tube.

Little trick we use down here on our boat is we use a CB whip antenna on our bass boats when tubing to keep the rope out of the prop i use them on jet jons as well work great.
The bilge pump really makes this a plumbing video.

It’s very inspiring to me as well I’m at a young age and do not have as much access to financial privileges as I would if I had a job and since this Iv acquired multiple things to build a drift kart seeing y’all build the power wheels and this has inspired me that I can do such a thing and that it is possible to take something that’s considered junk or useless and make it better. That’s awesome! I’ve owned jet boats for years and that looks like so much fun! Great job guys! You should try turning up some steering nozzle reducers that you can change easily, make them slightly longer and have different sized centres, it will give you different top speeds and take off power along with making the steering even more responsive. 🤘🤘Love your builds, so inspiring
Buy some silica granules for future drone incidences. They are way more absorbent than rice, and you can dry them out in the oven.

Hi I'm 15 and I've working on engine since I was five and I have finally built My first project yesterday I wrote it to school today it felt good it's a moped engine on the back of a bike I just found the right frame and just bolted it on the back I had to do some bending and use a piece of wood but it worked and I'm happy it's a home chopper y'all give me a lot of inspiration just want to let you know that
Maybe make a more full size Pavati type boat? Or maybe add a mini ballast bag and see if you can’t make a wake big enough to surf on/jump.

Should get some 12 volt linear actuators for your trim, then you can trim on the fly. Just an idea.

Where i run my boat, its state law to have a fire extinguisher, a toss cushion certified for flotation, and a signaling device (horn). I used to get checked by the Game Wardens nearly every trip to the bay. I dont mind though, Im always legal. Be nice to them, and they may turn you on to a honey hole!!

Som jet boats also have adjustable side sponsors (correct name? Not sure, not native) to adjust the lean in corners - could be an option. 🤓🤔
@@TheStuartstardust A sponson is what you are talking about. They're mainly used on sailing vessels or seaplanes. At the size of this boat, using Jet ski-style trim plates achieve the purpose of sponsons, and work much more efficently.
The impeller is what I'm asking about and that's the "propeller" that sucks water in to the jet.
I have owned jet ski's and changed impellers (and motors), which is where my information is coming from with this.

rice doesn't really do much to wet electronics, use silica gel packets (desiccants) you get in shoe boxes - they work better at sucking up moisture. You can order them in bulk online, which might be a good investment if you've got more boat stuff planned
They mount the toe line as high as possible to keep your toe line out of the water which creates a tremendous amount of drag especially laterally and away from your prop or out drive area.
This build is nothing short of epic!! That looks like a blast...
OK, hear me out: Buy a small(or not, based on the power this has) aluminum boat, and cut out the backend so that this boat can dock in it and become it's power source. You can use this little boat to power it out into the lake, then undock and go for a rip, return to the boat to dock and head home. You could make a real party boat if you went big, but even just some fun with a fishing boat that can go absurdly fast would be neat.
Dude, you should make a production of this boat. It looks way better than a jetski and I have the feeling that it's more fun than a jetski. At least... That's how I experience it purely based on this video you'r doing awesome stuff.
Aluminum is a great conductor, however, water without electrolyte is surprisingly not.
