That was my mom's secret to long hair... baby oil. My sister literally had hair down to her ankles at 16. At the age of 8, mine reached below my butt. Our hair was thick enough to snap hair ties. She would use baby oil in our hair all the time. We even bathed in it which left our skin feeling so soft and supple. She passed away in her 30's. If she was still alive, I would know all her secrets. I'm going back to baby oil. Mama knows best. I've been using coconut oil and castor oil. It doesn't even compare.
@@everybodyhateschrismania7970 She used it on our wet head. If we still needed a bit more while our hair was dry, she used more. As of now, I went back to coconut oil. I use a ton on my wet head. When my hair is dry, I finger comb. I no longer use combs or brushes since they cause breakage and excessive shedding. Now it's tailbone and getting longer. Finger combing and oil is the way to go if you want your hair below your butt.
I shampoo and condition my hair once every week and a half to 2 weeks. After my hair is conditioned and rinsed, I apply coconut oil to my wet head. I put a good amount too. I then let it air dry. After it is completely dry, I finger comb. That's it. I stopped using baby oil since I prefer the healthier route. I never use heat or dye either. Only product is coconut oil and Vo5 to shampoo and condition. Follow this and your hair will grow long and healthy.
Not all oils are supposed to "provide moisture". First off, mineral oil (baby oil, vaseline, etc) is VERY curl enhancing. Second, Mineral Oil works by providing a barrier on your skin or your hair so that your moisture can't escape.
I use baby oil in my hair after washing it while it's damp and then I put a very small amount in after straightening my hair and it was so soft and shiny
I thought mineral oil was really bad too, but then i watched DR. DRAY cos she always does SCIENTIFIC REVIEWS. And said MINERAL OIL is the safest to use even in the most sensitive parts of the skin around the eyes. So it's good for EYE MAKE UP REMOVER😁
I love how brave you are with trying things on your hair. I dont even be wanting to try new products from the store and you been trying everything lately lol
I used baby oil in my children's hair after they was born. Then used baby lotion with mixed with baby oil and they smelled like baby 24/7. The baby oil and water kept their hair soft curly and shiny. I used it in my hair as well as Castor oil. It didn't bother our hair it just smelled like baby.
Oh wow I’m not going to lie I used to use baby lotion on my kids hair when the were little and I feel like it helped their hair I never thought to use baby oil
I don't think it is a fail because you added no styler. However, this is also saying your hair will always have some form of definition with just water and oil, yep it's a great outcome.
Because I just wanted to test the baby oil. And it most likely would’ve been the same result. Oils do nothing for my hair which is why I don’t seal with oils and only use creams.
Hazel Goddesss Fair enough, I used to think you and I had similar textures, I feel the same way about oils but I recently starred applying grease whipped into my shea butter to my ends and I have seen a significant reduction in knots and breakage.
I’m trying to use Baby oil just because I’m out of town and forgot my hair oil. I hope that it just locks in moisture but I doubt I would use generous amount because I’m nervous.
WOW this is actually very interesting! This is a very creative video idea! I have a natural hair channel as well!!!! I hope that your channel continues to grow!!!
Sis maybe its because I just love big hair but I thought it was so cute! 😭😍It might not have as much definition as you usually get but your hair looks so bomb imo!💞
Beautiful braid out ❤❤❤❤ I haven't even tried baby oil on my hair I'm trying to leave my hair alone by using a wig 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 I loved your definition though and the shape is just gorgeous. But the length is stunning ❤❤❤💛💛💛🧡🧡🧡
I don’t think it was a fail. I actually liked it. Maybe it would have been a fail had you used a styler. Mine would’ve looked the same with just using olive oil or some other oil.
I wonder if it would work as a sealer/sealing oil...I mean I have zero faith haha because the ingredients MIGHT lead to a more dry-feeling result. Its worth a thought though considering oils really only have two function so far with natural hair: moisture and sealing. We already know moisture ain't it.
I hate baby oil, Hated when my Mom put it on me as a kid! Lol! ...The front turned out okay, your hair is always so full and fluffy no matter what you use! 😍
I use it on my girls hair after i put a leave in i put a lil baby oil on the scalp massage it and work it down not too much dont use to much or its gready mess and then i use a styler and a gel and it turns out really nice
tbh I don’t think it turned out toooo bad like the back definitely could have more definition but most of your definition came in the front I feel like you could do this if you just happened to be extra lazy or not use a lot of products it looked like a fluffy braid out 😌
My hair is baby fine. I used baby oil in my hair today after I washed it. It's working wonderfully. I know that mineral oil is not good for the hair BUT it's working. 🤔 I only used baby oil.
I actually liked how your hair turned out. I like the volume with less definition although it looks a has oily. Have you tried lotion on your hair yet? I can’t remember.
Idk why people think this is a good idea. Baby oil is mineral oil 😅 It's not even the best for babies. It should be cheap. Hair grease is better for hair than this. ... Use it on your feet lol

Btw, silicones is the worst. It may feel good at first, but can cause irreversible damage in the long run.
@@AmyLeeAngelLove so basically condition my hair everyday, and after I rinse that out and its wet put baby oil in it? Do you think that will work?

@@vintagefiasco2271 I forgot to mention, nutrition makes a difference as well. Stay away from all processed foods.
Girl, you can literally use soil from the garden in your hair and it would turn out B-O-M-B !!!
PERIOD!!
Lmao not soil 😂😂
Tadiwanashe Christabel Mateta ...everyones hair isn’t the same
Oh she’s brave, brave
But I can literally scent it through the video
Shanel Miller smell?
Scent it ? 🤦♀️
Pro tip : watch movies at InstaFlixxer. Been using it for watching loads of movies during the lockdown.
@Gianni Isaac definitely, I have been watching on InstaFlixxer for years myself =)
Oils feel different because they lubricate the hair and don't provide moisture at all.

@@AngelaVEdwards Exactly! Anything with mineral oil is a sealing oil, used on top of a moisturizing leave in. She likely used too much, as well
This is why I love your channel! You aren’t afraid to try stuff on your hair. Thank you for sharing!!
I use baby oil in my hair after washing it while it's damp and then I put a very small amount in after straightening my hair and it was so soft and shiny
Why can I smell the oil through the video lmao
I can feel the oily-ness on your hair lol
Another Day with A her hair looks identical to ur profile pic
@@literallyleila728😂😂😂
I think I would call you the queen of picking and fluffing...u dont even use a blow dryer sis!
I really do love how your always trying different things with your hair .
It don’t even matter what you put in your hair it always looks so good!
The aloe in the spray bottle was a nice touch.
Her voice is so precious wtf

It's gettin Diddy here

Your voice is insanely cute❤
Do you think that doing your hair straight out of the shower would have made a difference moisture wise ?
Yes! Honestly for better results put the baby oil in your hair after you've done washing it
Yes. Oil, then cap and let the heat set in.
Oh wow I’m not going to lie I used to use baby lotion on my kids hair when the were little and I feel like it helped their hair I never thought to use baby oil
I did a video with baby lotion lol
I don't think it is a fail because you added no styler. However, this is also saying your hair will always have some form of definition with just water and oil, yep it's a great outcome.
I've always hated the smell of baby oil and baby lotion. Lusters Pink oil moisturizer too.
The oil is a sealant! Why didn’t you use your usual leave in conditioner or stylers? Mineral oil/ Grease is an excellent sealants not moisturisers.
Because I just wanted to test the baby oil. And it most likely would’ve been the same result. Oils do nothing for my hair which is why I don’t seal with oils and only use creams.

Excatly!. Oil any oil is a sealant and not a moisturizer. Moisture comes from hydration and hydration comes from WATER 😊
Girl you can use anything on your hair and it still looks good. Like I am so impressed! Every video. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Love this!
Why is ur voice too cute? I mean, seriously. It’s too adorable😅
Puff Daddy/P. Diddy is Shaking Right Now
I use baby oil on my hair and it's part permed part natural but it feels really good to me and my hair likes it
It wasnt as good as you usual braid outs, but still looked wearable.
Have you tried raw shea butter on your hair yet? 🤔
Rayne W. ouu yesss she should definitely try that!
Your hair is growing so nicely 😩😍😩😍

Back in the day, I knew girls who swore by using baby oil in their hair. Never understood why lol
It restored my hair. I absolutely love it. Just a few drops, no more than that.
Which type of spray do you use?
Also restored my hair. My curls back then were very coily and looked smooth. Will need to start back up to it within my routine
Because it works!
I wonder if it would have came out better if you used gel with it
I don’t think it was a fail. I actually liked it. Maybe it would have been a fail had you used a styler. Mine would’ve looked the same with just using olive oil or some other oil.
Your hair has got so thick !!
I found today Baby oil j&j with Aloe Vera I used it and it feels softer !
I THOUGHT YOUR HAIR LOOKED BEAUTIFUL AND NATURAL
I tried that yesterday a dripping oilly mess didn't work
I will test it on my coily thin hair.. Hope obtaining good result.
Did it work
Diddy style baby oil
In high school, I used baby oil on my hair!
Love your content
Is it good?
@@samerahmed9059 my hair stayed moisturized lmao i was also permed/relaxed in high school. it was a good way to retain length for me

I think you look pretty in any thing
I appreciate your experiments because I’m not brave enough to risk my hair.
I think it’s because you put water and oil sits on top of water. S
The lady I used to stay with used to put this is my hair when she did my box braids❤
Telli Tv whaaat? Have you ever asked why?
My mom used baby oil and lotion on my hair when I was young, I think I might need to try that because when I was younger my hair was really long
Beautiful! I love the look
Love the DifferentContent. Happy Belated Mother's Day.💐

Baby oil keeps a still press from reverting even through the gym

This was cool and still turned out cute. You should try Shea butter next. I’m interested in seeing if it will give you good definition.
All u needed was some gel or edge control girl
Wtf it’s cute lol
TFS 👍
