I remember long road trips with my parents and hearing country music in the car. By my teen years, I rejected country for hard rock and heavy metal. Dance & rap came around 16 because that's where you met girls. I find myself going full circle back to country as an adult. I like other music too! I'm often in the mood for Pink Floyd in the morning, AC/DC in the afternoon then Waylon Jennings before bed.
I met Darius Rucker almost 26 years ago. This is the most down-to-earth, humble man I've ever met! So far my favorite "celebrity" I've met!
Love this guy no matter what genre of music he sings. Loved him since the early days. Beautiful voice.

Yes he is an awesome down to earth guy, I met him in the 1980s, he doesn’t fit the narrative for the fake news and media as far as race goes! He sees no color he is just a great person! I didn’t object who he was when I met him, just got to talking about a lot of subjects and enjoyed the charisma of his personality! Just a great well mannered normal guy! Very talented!
He went to the same high school as me and was friends with my brother. Nice guy is putting it mildly.

Darius rucker is the best singer in contry music I fell in love with his voice and I have alot of CDS now there packed with awesome music songs music I wish I could go to one of his shows I'm hoping that he would come to Germany and perform I'm in kiel north Germany

Darius Rucker, Charli Pride, Nicky Guyton and Jimmie Allen all have been influential for other country musicians who are black people.
I love Darius's music, but I'm surprised he feels he faced oppression. He is one one of the most successful musicians ever, its like Taylor swift saying she would be more successful if she were male. I mean how much more successful can you be?
I was definitely a fan that had gone from Hootie to country and was very happy when Darius showed up.
Because if you’re black and got and successful off millions of white fans supporting your work, you have to find a way to play victim. Just to prove you’re still black.
