Hello John. I have not heard you speak of any maintenance schedules on the 2022 ford Maverick hybrid. I’m trying to find out when to change fluid on the CVT transmission.
Maybe you can talk about services schedules one day. Thanks for all your informative videos. Please keep up the good work.
    Blessings.

From all that I have read under normal driving conditions the CVT fluid should not need to be changed per Ford

I was originally targeting Maverick and ended up with a Frontier for one major reason: the engine. The VQ is a tried and true engine that will outlast any modern day ford, Maverick amd Ranger included. And I really like both the Mav and Ranger but the VQ gets 250k with ease. You'll cycle through two Mavericks/Rangers by the time youll inevitably give the Frontier to your son for a first truck.
Also, these videos (others in addition to this) need to stop comparing models and classes that don't equate. The frontier should have been a pro4x or the mav should have been an xlt. Silly to compare an SV to a lariat.

Well the Hybrid Maverick does implore a tried and proven powerplant with the 2.5 combined with the Hybrid eCVT.

@@jmc6000 That's definitely a stretch to put the reliability of any hybrid engine on the same level as the VQ. But let's say you're right, it's still comparing a hybrid engine to a V6: apples and oranges. Don't get me wrong, if you're getting Mav then the hybrid is the way to go but you can't compare a compact truck's hybrid engine to a V6 midsize truck on any level. Two different vehicles with two different purposes. Next thing ya know, there will be RUclips videos comparing bread to steaks.
Sorry for the rant but when I was on the market for a truck (and was a hair away from getting Maverick) I saw so many videos where guys were comparing trucks that had no business being compared. The Maverick hybrid is a unicorn right now. The frontier should be compared to the Taco, Ranger, and Colorado at the same trim levels. Any other discussion doesn't help the consumer.

The Maverick is a truck with car dynamics. The Frontier is an actual truck

Perhaps a more appropriate comparison would be with the Ranger rather than the Maverick, especially when comparing ride quality.

Maverick by far in my opinion.. looking forward to the Colorado differences.. Actually by looks the Colorado is better than this truck as well.

This was an extremely biased, and quite frankly unfair review. You seem to not know why people get Frontiers. First of all, and SV model cannot be compared to a Lariat. You should have used a Pro-4x model. Leather seats, heated seats snd steering wheel, moon roof, smoother ride with the bill stein shocks. Better inside interior. I think it blows the little wanna be truck out of the park.
Heavy steering is because its hydraulic steering, they want it to feel like a truck. Which i love. I dont wanna feel like im driving a trucky car (Maverick).
    Frontier all day long.
