It was a pleasure working with both of you as " RAASH" ! JK, you ARE an amazing actor and a great man, loved getting to know you and was/am still hoping that "Counterpart" will find a NEW home so I can come back! Justin, what a mind you have to be able to create such a wonderful world! Thank you. Marco Khan.
This is a cool show. It's smart but not too much, meaning that it's not on its high concept high horse. You can connect the dots. It doesn't hold your hand but it's not leaving you in the dark. And the characters are well written. Seeing J.K Simmons head a show was a surprise, but a welcome one to be sure. The rest of the cast worked very well too. I also very much like the sets, set design is great. The building where the action takes place has some weird architects, but it works in the ambiance of the show. I'm eagerly waiting for season 2.
Faigy Blomkvist To me the whole season was the unveiling of another world and it's rules as well as the conspiracy created by some of the characters. It's a geopolitical show with a personal story at the heart of it to get us to come back every week (although I waited for the whole season to come out and then binged it, as I had way too many shows to watch). The storytelling was always interesting. Slow for sure but it may be a requirement with something like that. The show goes "There's this, ok ? And then that, and that, and that. Guess where it all goes." And when you do it's like "Daaaamn, well done" and I feel like with that payoff, it can be as slow as it needs to be. A deliberate slow burn that serves a good storytelling works for me. But that's just me.
3 dimensional chess - Star Trek reference? Yeah the thing is you can take as much or as little from the show as you like, simple action show or exploration of humanity. I just love the allusion to the game "Go" in the beginning which while like Chess is concerned with strategy is won by capturing space, this is what is playing out between the two worlds trying to conquer the other.
An amazing late discovery for me. Double J.K. Simmons on ice Cold War, Sci-Fi. The combo Casting of British, German and American actors is very fluid, I particularly enjoyed James Cromwell too. After hearing STARZ decision on season 3, I hope Counterpart becomes a sleeper hit (like Breaking Bad) and gets picked up elsewhere.
So sad to see this end, but hoping to be picked up elsewhere. Being on Starz was not going to succeed. Best written and acted show since Breaking Bad, JK Simmons and others are overlooked easily.
Same. I'm SOOOO disappointed that this show ended and won't ever be picked up 😩😩😩😩 Well, never say never. Dexter made a comeback after what, 10 years or something like that, so I guess you never know. Anyway, excellent show. I can't recommend it enough!!
Jk playing 2 versions of himself is genius because I never got confused who I was watching. He plays separate characters despite being the same person.
Making a show for smart people, a show where you don't want to go to the fridge without pausing it- Very sadly I think these reasons are responsible for the cancellation.
I agree. Apparently, Starz claimed that the show's audience was too male-centric, and they wanted shows that are more female-centric. Also, they claimed that the show was highly complex. So yeah, shows for smart people, the intellectually curious are more likely to be canceled. It's why I always say that the film, "Idiocracy," is actually a documentary. Quite sad, really.
@@user50 If I recall correctly and I am sure I don't but the interviewer introduces the people he is talking to, which in the thumbnail look like two males (husband and wife?), as "The star and creator" which describes one person. That is what I was pointing out. Do you understand now? I see you do not communicate as an adult or in any formal manner whatsoever so I hope I made my response easy enough for you to comprehend.
@@james-faulkner "the husband and wife" is an example of an analogous grammatical structure to the one you seemed concerned about. it's not necessary to specify "the husband and the wife," it's very possible for that structure to indicate two distinct individuals unfortunately (even though you communicate as an adult& in a formal manner) I have to admit that I actually do not comprehend your response, so maybe my reply won't help :)

you were great!
I found this show after the COVID19 pandemic started, and the creators' vision of a world changed by pandemic is sadly our reality now. Amazing show.
JK is insane in this show! Give him an Emmy!
JK’s body language as each Howard was so eloquently different.

Best show on tv!
Great series so far.

Please give us more seasons
I just started season 2. Been meaning to watch this for awhile. Loving it so far. Great cast n writing. Can’t wait to see what happens.
Great spy, sci-fi, thriller series I didn't know it even existed. This show defo needs a better advertisment to create more buzz.
Just finished the second season. Such a good show!
I just marathoned it. Brilliant. And... it's gone. :(
They also use a diverse cast for the other world which was clever story wise

I absolutely 100% agree, best show I have seen in years!

If you like actors playing different characters, you should try Orphan Black..
Who’s the one dope who gave this a thumbs down

She looks like she's zoning out.
"The star and creator" are the same person. "The star and the creator" is still muddy until you are aware that you are speaking to two people.
the husband and wife
