woodturning a small cherry wood bowl

  • I made a small cherry wood bowl from a leftover piece of wood from another project.
    First, I attached the wood to the lathe with a faceplate and turned the outside side.
    Then I glued a piece of plywood with hotmelt glue to the bottom and turned a tenon from it, and with this, I reversed mounted the bowl in a chuck and hollowed out the bowl.
    I finished the bowl with friction polish.
    The bowl has a diameter of 13 centimeters and is 8 centimeters high

      Thank you, Leo. Yes, it is a beautiful piece of wood, and I have more of this, but they are large pieces and not yet dry enough to process, so there is more to come

    Ho un dubbio: quale è lo spessore del vasetto? Dipende dal tipo di legno? Grazie

      Ciao, grazie per aver guardato il mio video e la tua risposta, la parete della ciotola ha uno spessore di circa 7 mm e per aver stimato quanto sottile puoi renderlo dipende in gran parte dalle condizioni del legno e da quanto sottile osi andare
