Very cool. Love watching 1/5 scale scale. Bashes terrain that makes a 1/10 scale MT look cartoonish. with its size and weight it just flies over it smooth as silk. Epic stuff!
all it would take is to look at my other rc videos, or even lower in the comments. it's a baja 5t. with mods. if you want to know which mods. check out my other videos.
the cage isn't very heavy. i found that it actually handles a bit better. also it ends up spending more time on it's wheels.. usually bounces back on it's tires. plus it looks MEAN!
it's not gopro. it's a monfratto magic arm. the arm costs about 185 dollars, probably the best investment for video lighting and go pro mounting, and even t2i mounting.
Awesome vid..Are those Camera Mounts your own design or they a bought from a shop??...I am also trying this sort of video work..Finding the best angles on RC before I go full scale...
we save our bodies for the east coast national races, and the barn yard racing. where they are manditory to race. at that point, i don't worry about it tearing the front of the body off.
Great video as usual. When are we going to see your Baja with a shell though? Mind you, I can't talk. I've had my Tripp body for 6 months and I still race it with just the TC cage
it's TOO heavy for any other rc car. ha unless it's a bigger rc car. when i swing the arm out it really effects it's center of gravity. also i can really only attach it to the turtle racing shock mount. the cage flex's too much and the vibrations don't make for good footage.
I bought a King motor baja for $600, beat the hell out of the stock 30.5cc CY motor than upgraded to a nice Zenoah g290RC and dominator V2 pipe from DDM and any parts I break i just replace with stock HPI. I have been very happy so far.
The closest you'll get to a $70 USD hobby grade car is one of the ECX 1/10th scale electrics which go for around $130 to $170 depending on your local hobby shop. You might be able to pick up a used one for $70 if you're a good shopper, though.
You guys look like a big acceident waiting to happen sorry but damn how many near misses and petrol sat in the sun? Has anyone in your group takena baja to the groin yet? still awsome video and cars for sure thumbs up.
i have had it for about 4 years now... check out the af100... it's the newer version.. except they screwed with the format. changed it to avchd, which was a mistake!!! it was nicknamed the DSLR killer.

hvx200, t2i with nikon 1.2f and the go pro! it's amazing what a bit of colour correction will do when using a proper HD codec.
not sure if i like the look of the body. i am waiting for the kraken rc desert cage!
it's not gopro. it's a monfratto magic arm. the arm costs about 185 dollars, probably the best investment for video lighting and go pro mounting, and even t2i mounting.

so let me get this straight. you think performance upgrades for regular cars are clones?
which song? there are 3
Those things are monsters...too big for my R/C likings, might as well driver a full size off road vehicle at this point :P nah but cool vid!
wow, i got a t2i too! i might do a similar vid with the 5sc that i'm going to get when i have some money:)
Nice vid and car man
awesome camera work there, looks very professional! may i ask what camera you are using?
we save our bodies for the east coast national races, and the barn yard racing. where they are manditory to race. at that point, i don't worry about it tearing the front of the body off.
Cheers for the Advice :)
dude this video is sick, we gotta do another
the one with the cage is genious!
Nice video good guys *sweet*
Great video as usual. When are we going to see your Baja with a shell though?
Mind you, I can't talk. I've had my Tripp body for 6 months and I still race it with just the TC cage
fifthscales can't handle what the smaller savages can. xs savages are not 1/8th scale btw. the trucks weigh probably 10x what an xs does.
Well done...!!!
Best wishes from Bavaria / Germany. :-)
That's a an big thumbs up & sub from me.. cool video!
Nice vid dude
good god the hvx200 lol... dear santa... haha

That is sick
3:58 love the song
What gopro mount system are you using?
does it affect the performance at all due to the added weight, considering i will have to do a conversion aswell ?
Add a gyro (Futaba GY401 or similar) to steering, makes it so much better to handle rough terrain.
Cool !!
whats your opinion on the Team Chase roll cage ? is it worth the buy ?
very nice...
Commmeeeeeee onnnnnn morrrreeeeee vvvvviiiiddddssss
can you post a link for the mud flaps? thx! nice channel
i bet you'd get the bug, if you drove one.
Epic movie...
What camera setup do you use?
totally man! i say urban!

You guys look like a big acceident waiting to happen sorry but damn how many near misses and petrol sat in the sun?
Has anyone in your group takena baja to the groin yet?
still awsome video and cars for sure thumbs up.
the cage honestly doesn't effect it's C.G. very much. i like the handling better then when it was a B.
cool!
Where did you make this video?
What camera did you use?
where did you get the cars?
45min.... 30 if i rip on it. most of the time a session won't use a full tank.
where did you get that car from... it is awesome, i want one!!!!!
fiiiinaly a non-bogan rc video!! , you guys know how to use your cameras and make the video interesting
