    Learning all about this as I’ve come across a clog somewhere in my house 😂 I’ve took apart my dishwasher and bought and new hose for it and that wasn’t even the problem. So now I’m here at this point, taking off my toilet. Can’t lie, it feels good to know how things are done

      I removed the toilet in a double wide trailer and there was water clogged but now its just about 1/4 of an inch I've snaked and lubricated with dish soap and hot water (not boiling). Do you think if I put the new toilet on and flushed it I'd be good? Like I said I can see water down in the horizontal pipe but it's barely any,and it's not coming up the pipe anymore just sitting still where the pipe goes horizontal. Any advice would be VERY VERY appreciated

      No, putting a new toilet will not resolve the issue. The issue is from within the pipeline under the toilet it's self. @@Pops1811

      Always buy a new wax ring for toilet. They're only $3 to $10 at the most. Well worth it so you don't have to do it in 2 years with the water coming out from under the toilet rim.

    People use way too much toilet paper. Another problem is the wax ring. with the funnel never use those they cause more back ups and water leaks. just use a regular ring.

    • @DrainPros
      @DrainPros  4 года назад +3

      Agreed! I would say 9/10 toilet clog calls we get could have never happened with less toilet paper and also less ply toilet paper. Some of the companies are selling such thick paper now a days I consider them dry wipes

    • @Straycurrent
      @Straycurrent 4 года назад +4

      Drain Pros Yes, our toilet paper here in USA is like a bath towel compared to the paper you see in foreign countries. We’ve probably overdone it. Even the nice hotels abroad typically have small rolls of thin flimsy paper. I suspect that more important than the appearance of luxury is the limitations of their piping and treatment facilities. But hey, our luxurious toilet paper leads to great videos of drain cleaning on YT, so it ain’t all bad.

    🙋‍♂️ Help/question: can you tell me what I should do if I just found out 15 minutes ago a guest flush a tampon down the toilet at my house? I don’t know if there is a back up or not. Should I flush the toilet multiple times to try to get it to go through the pipes if there is no back up? Or what should I do. I don’t really have money for a plumber.
