New to rc’s after a 20 year break with 5 and 7 year old boys. I’m wanting to get into the race buggies or truggies. Would you recommend this over the Kyosho MP9e v2?
On horizon hobby website is setup sheets under the support tab on the TLR 8xt. Not the rtr 8xt. I recommend Ryan dunfords 2020 DNC setup as a start and go from there. I’ve been running that setup since he put it out. Only change the springs/shock oil to suit track. That setup locks the rear in better.
Losi and associated are killing the rtr market while traxxas is just widening and strengthening their old played out shit while changing colors and bodies on the same chassis😂
@MaxedHardware losi is owned by horizon hobby, associated is owned by thunder tiger Corp and traxxas is privately owned. So no they are not the same companys.
for the same price you can buy a real kit, like an et 48, then go to jennys and spend another 100 on brand new electronics and you will have something SO much better.
Gas RC can be difficult to set up and tune. Years ago I had one and I never could get it running right. There are on line videos about how to tune gas and check your hobby shop to see if someone can help you. Also set it up to factory settings. Those little engines are picky and the weather can affect how it runs. Good luck 😊
Heat it to about 200 degrees adjust the idle screw to rich and slightly turn the high speed needle on lean should help it keep it running only small adjustments though
LitRC should have A B C and D blocks. also they car is most likely built for twin shorties. the tlr cars are, and i see no reason for the rtr cars not to be.
Not the same parts as a kit, which is no longer sold. The parts are available but building from scratch is expensive. Sad cuz that truck is among the best ever in its proper form...

Great looking & performance. 1/8th Truggy looks too large for that track....
I put street tires on and it was the best move for my area
