Nice review. FYI, the battery tray is designed for two 2S shorties wired in series. Also, it should have came with another set of straps for taller batteries (if you're running a single 4S), at least my 8ight-XE did.
Hey! I own the same truck and I actually did some experimenting. I bought my self the 7075 chassis for a swap and compared the two believe it or not this 4mm 6065 is actually way more firm and less flex than the 7075 just due to the 7075 one being 3mm and lightned You do lose about 4 oz. The problem is actually that stock driveshaft I actually broke mine with just my thumb it’s meant to be super lightweight I would upgrade it to the Mojave shaft it stops all bending
@@yonicozac No, that doesn't work either. Tried it both ways. Because it's still goes around the side that wastes space of the strap. Check out my other video for the fix
No dude , I’m not sure about this one but the Tekno I saw was legit . It was quiet too with the composite spur gear and zippy , all truggified out with the cool chassis , looked like an M2c but might have been a stock one . I seen they come with a thicker looking chassis . The on,y other thjng I noticed were aluminum chassis braces
Depends on the electronics. But TLR is around 8lbs 12oz RC8T4E is 8lbs 8oz Really impressive that RTR is very comparable in weight! Thanks for the info
@ICRC83 a y-splitter would allow for 2 batteries in series. no clue if 2 would fit or what it would need for batteries but in theory a y splitter would allow for 2 batteries

Thanks! Means a lot coming from you! Wait, yours came with longer straps? Mind didn't! That would have been easier.
Something like this or the eb48 Tekno I seen was acting like a 4s outcast at the skate park bash we had .
@@Hungrybird474 I bet, they can bash too!
I still have my eye on this car. Great update on the pros and cons!!
Awesome, thanks!
Nice, another one to get on the list 😁
@@direllterry2542 Ooohh yeah!! 💪💪
The flex is good for traction and ease of handling on track. I preferred the 7075 plate and plastic chassis braces.
What do you mean plate?
@ICRC83 the upgrade chassis plate

Not saying the 7075 is a bad upgrade tho it does lighten the truck but in this case it might not help the flex it’s just such a thin stock shaft
Nonetheless though I would swap the shafts keep the stock plastic plastic braces just because flex is such a great thing
You are not suppose to route the straps under the battery, they should loop at the tabs, that's way you'll have much more strap length available.

@@Hungrybird474 nice, my buddy has some teknos that he bashes in some of my videos.
If you get a chance could you weigh it for me? Complete just no battery. Curious how it compares to the kit build weight.
@@Garage_unknown Sure thing! Thanks for watching
So it looks like it is 8 lbs, 11.3 oz with stock tires and body on. With no battery. Let me know how that compares with the TLR!

Nice, and I agree that is impressive!
Do Arrma notorious
I do want one..
The kit has no electronics,
Good point. I thought so but on the site it said "Nitro and Electric Parts Included". But maybe it just means parts to attach it
Think the tray is for two flatpacs 2S , no one runs a 8000 in a race truck
And did n’t do the straps do it’s job? I don’t have a problem with them
@supertjeduc It's a good thing this video is not just for racers! Also the ESC comes with one plug, not two. So not sure how you could run two packs?

I get that, the commenter was criticizing the video.
