In fact. In only 13 more cstches the Kelce. Gronk has 600 more yards. 20 to 30 more TDs, more first down catches.. I hope KC is sleeping on him as much as these fans. Block, block, block. Then big play. Get him one on one against these LBs who cant pass cover. Dude is going to eat.

Gronk's blocking seems to me to have been a season game changer. Brady not getting sacked often is the difference between a "W" and an "L" and between completed passes and interceptions. I desperately want Gronk to get a TD for history but I get it that him protecting the quarterback is probably even more important. Tom Brady has never lost a game when he wasn't getting sacked.

I am thankful that Jensen didn't get a block in the back penalty on that Gronk screen pass. It was awful close. No wonder the Pack was screaming on that PI penalty late in the game. I saw that penalty from the end zone angle and Pack defender was practically trying to undress Tyler Johnson as he ran his route so it was a pretty obvious penalty but more like a defensive holding than a PI. It didn't take the backfield ref that long to throw the flag either. First he had to signal no catch and then he went straight for the flag. Good call.

Versitility is a killer. The defense doesn't know if its going to be a run play with heavy blocking or a pass play. LB's can't cover Gronk on a pass play, so it makes the defense keep a CB in closer. If the Patriots were able to keep Aaron Hernandez they would have been unstoppable. They would have two good blocking/receiving TEs, plus a blocking/Receiving Fullback all pro James Devlin. Few people understood how deadly this combo was. Most LB's are too light these days to handle that. Look at the old Patriot films and watch how they opened up holes to make a journey man half back like Sony Michael very productive. I would like to see the Bucs get a good fullback - their run game would be unstoppable and it would open up the defense.

Gronk did it for ALMOST SIX YEARS and probably would l have done it for many more. If not for the injuries, he would retire with the highest career TD per game average in NFL history BY AN INSANE AMOUNT: like 1.4 while the current record holder is around .8 or something. Believe it or not, Kelce runs away with the statistically better hands, more YAC than any tight end in history so far, and has had pivotal blocks when they need him to do so, they just usually would rather have him be triple covered to try to open up the field or still somehow catch a pass.

As a neutral fan it might be hard to get pressure on tom Brady. The only teams that would give them trouble are the rams and saints. Chiefs don’t have a front 4 like they do. But then again chiefs can score in like 30 seconds. It’s going to come down to Arians play calling not forcing downfield shots like they did in the second half against Green Bay if the line can’t hold up. That’s why I think chiefs might win better coaching and there’s always someone open if the play isn’t there. Something that the bucs don’t do. If they call a deep throw Brady doesn’t have an option to at least pick up 3-5 yards.
