      Also would have had like 130 touchdowns with 15,000 yards or something along those lines. His body just wasn't built for longevity unfortunately, he took a beating. I personally think his body type was like a gift/curse. He was like an inflatable tube man, his body wasn't super sturdy and solid, he was always flailing his limbs around, which made it difficult for players to tackle him, but also made him prone to getting hurt.

    • @Chris-yr6io
      @Chris-yr6io Год назад +11

    I played tight end in college and he was the definition of the prototype every coach was looking for. Every aspect of his game was 5 star recruit. And his tenacity and toughness was underrated. The only thing that wasn’t what the coaches loved was that he was a diva for periods of his career. But it didn’t matter because he was so damn good. The thing about Gronkowski is that he revolutionized the tight end position. Up until this point, you either had TE’s who could 1.) block or 2.) catch really well. Sometimes you’d get ones who could do both ‘good’.
    Gronkowski did both great. He was a beast of a lineman and a beast of a receiver. His hands were amazing and he was so hard to bring down. He also played a lot less snaps than Tony Gonzalez or Antonio Gates, so of course his stats won’t be as large as theirs.
    Easily one of (if not the best) TE of all time.

    Was born in 01 in Mass, played football, including winning the state title in Gillette Stadium. Saw pretty much the entire dynasty including my cousin David Givens. Gronk was the most dominant player I ever saw. In the preseason he caught a pass vs the Rams and dragged the defender 10 yards on his ankle before reaching for the end zone. Seeing that live, I knew we had a steal even as a second round pick.

    I hate to say it being a huge Tony Gonzalez fan, but Gronk is the best TE of all time.

    If Gronk hadn't been injured so much and therefore couldn't play as many seasons as the other greats, he would have every TE record.

    He was Brady’s best receiver as a TE and he was also a 6th offensive lineman every play, to me there is no other TE in history that did what he could and that’s why he is the GOAT TE

    The coverage on so many of those plays literally could not have been better. It’s just that Gronk was the best.

    The fact that we beat him in 2017 (and with Brady throwing for like 500 yards) is still insane to me. Shout out to BDN

      Yeah, as an Eagles fan I remember just not being able to stop Brady/Gronk...We did everything we could, but both still destroyed us. Thank god for Brandon Graham.

    You can argue that other TEs had longer and healthier careers, but at the end of the day none of them were as dominant as gronk was when he was healthy. Dude was a once-in-a-generation athlete.

    Kelce can catch that's all
    Tony can catch and block decently.
    Kettle can catch, block well, but can be shout down.
