Great, I'm waiting for this drone too! Are the PIDs stock or have you changed something? P.s. Li-ion batteries can be discharged down to a minimum of 2.8V per cell, but I advise you never to go below 3V to avoid risks. The low battery warning on the viewer can easily be changed from betaflight to make it appear at the right value. Obviously if you also fly with Lipo batteries and change that value it will no longer warn you in time for that type of battery.

Great first flight mate! I have the F6X on the way. You're flying with a Li-ion pack, which is not meant for large throttle bursts, as its C rating is way too low. It's more meant for slow cruising and long range, and you can take them down to 3V/cell no probs. I would recommend getting yourself some 2200-2400mAh lipos with a 120+C rating. Trust me, you'll feel the difference. With lipos, you want to be landing when your cells are at 3.5V/cell. Hit me up if you have any questions, happy to help. 👍. Also, ditch the DJI Remote controller - if video goes out, so does the RC link. Get yourself crossifre on the quad and get something like the Radiomaster Boxer (I prefer the TX16S MK2 Max)with the external crossfire module. Greetings from Oz! 🦘
I have a Nazgul F5 V2 and I'm flying with LiPo batteries of 1300, 1500, and 1700 mAh. I've had some crashes that damaged the batteries, affecting their lifespan. Occasionally, while flying, the voltage drops rapidly, and if I don't descend quickly, I lose power and the drone comes down. That's why it's important to be cautious with battery impacts. I've changed the rates configuration several times, based on some settings I found online. Of course, I first test them in the simulator before flying. The RTH (Return to Home) works wonderfully for me; I've tried it several times. Since I live in a mountainous area and don't have much space to land, I prefer to let RTH handle it. Another issue I encountered is how I configure the buttons. Since I use the Avata controller, I assigned the arm and disarm functions to the two-position buttons. This caused a problem once, as I got confused and disarmed the drone at 10 meters in the air. Saludos desde Argentina
Was it easy to map out your switches/ buttons on your Dji Fpv controller (arm/disarm, beeper , angle mode, horizon mode & Acro mode) with Beta flight ? I considered your set up since I already have the googles & controller but I’ve seen videos of this drone going into failsafe with the controller 2 easily. So, I’m debating on getting a new controller either ELRS or Crossfire to be safe.
It is very easy to set up the controller on beta flight. But if you are considering a different controller, it’s not a bad idea and here’s why… if you lose video signal with the DJI, you lose the controller too. If you have a separate receiver and controller, like crossfire, you may still have your controller even if you lose video signal. For me it wasn’t a make or break decision and I already had the DJI equipment. I have not had any issues with the quad and my DJI gear so far. Very seamless and easy to bind and set up.
Great video. I have my 5’ on the way. What happens if we don’t connect it to the beta flight? Are the buttons still working somewhere in the controller 2 just not in the order we want?
No. You have to connect to a flight controller software to set up the quad and controller. Betaflight or I have been using iNAV. I like both. INAV has better GPS functions.

Have to be careful with losing line of sight. You will lose signal, goes for pretty much any quad.
