Sorry for the late response Mr. Dunham. We have a steel wool product that would be a better option to plug holes for mice. could i use this for an open flue that is just like the duct work. The hole isn't supposed to be open and also is it fire safe?
You can buy putty that is fire-rated - almost always red in color.
