Great discussion! Duct plug/putty, just like the sample Jake showed, was typical for OSP ducts (MH to MH, for example). The putty allowed the duct to be reenterable for future cable placement. In the winter, the putty had to be placed on the dash with heater on to make it pliable enough to put into the duct.
