Petula Clark was an authentic performer and great female singer who truly loved her audiences. What a talented singer with great songs all so positive. She has it all beauty, talent, charisma and stage presence, a real icon and true professional who made it look easy because she enjoyed it and had fun with her vocation.
When I was a kid in the 60s and saw Petula, and then Lulu on The Ed Sullivan Show I always thought..Wow. The way she seemed so high class. The way she carried herself and dressed. And the way she looked when she sang. And a perfect example is right here on this video. I figured she was high class-high society. And Lulu was like a free spirit hippie type girl. They were both great. Then in high school in the 70s, we thought the same thing. Christine was high class-high society. And Stevie was a free spirit hippie chick. It's was so cool..Still is.....frankny66yroldwhitekid rockfan
Thank you Petula. You are a true superstar. Your wiggle was terrific in this video. I was in the U.S. Air Force in 1966 and your songs are beautiful and timeless.
There are literally vocalists today just as good and better, there's a massive difference between an 'artist' and a vocalist/singer. You're conflating the direction the music industry has gone in (favouring entertainment value over skill and artistic expression) with people's talent. People are just as talented as ever, they just don't make it big.
Petula Clark has sung so many extremely well-written songs so extremely well ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. ¶ I still own an album copy of Petula Clark's greatest hit song interpretations. I vividly remember reading, from inside the album cover, about Petula's song interpretations were extremely well-received by younger adults, and their parents, and their grandparents, alike 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃. ¶ In my humble opinion, Petula Clark's music is timeless 🎼🎵🎶🎙️🎚️🎛️😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃.
Real singing as in great songs, a real voice, a solid technique, consummate diction, a real looker, with real presence, and an obvious love for what she's doing. That's why she's still performing at 90+.
Darling your race nor creed has nothing whatsoever to do with your taste in music. I'm white with blue eyes and Irish desert, but I love reggae and adore vintage ska. You and I are real ppl . Enjoy what uand who u like and sod the rest my sweetheart. Xxxx
I was 6 yrs old when this awesome song came out! Petula Clark sang this song with passion and love!! I dedicated this song to my two granddaughters 3 and 10. Because they are the loves of my life! I love them beyond language and there is no definition for the way I feel for them. I breathe when they walk walk in the room. ❤❤"And there is nothing in this world that can ever change my love!" 🥹💖💞🥰
The Legendary Drummer HAL BLAINE, yet AGAIN!!!!!! He was on MANY NUMBER 1 HITS-------- EVEN THOUGH the Groups ALREADY had a drummer!!!!! HALL OF FAMER!!!!!!!!!!!!
AHHH Yeah 👍👍 there is Some simply Bueatiful Music 🎵🎶 Sung by a Super Talented Young Woman at that Time. Whom when I First heard Her Sing a couple of Year's later. Such a great performer and singing the “best” real love song with these great lyrics . A star you don’t see anymore these days. Yes, the good old days don’t come back.
When this song came out in 1966 I was about 6 or 7 years old, I just love this song…. So when I came across this video, I just started singing with the lyrics,O it brought back many happy memories. O by the way I’m 70 years young.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺👏👏👏👏👏☮️☮️☮️💕💕😇😇🥰🥰
I was 13 in 1966 and had a crush on Pet Clark like most adolescent boys all over the world. This song was a hit in the UK, U.S., Canada, most of Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Panama, El Salvador, Venezuela, Argentina, Japan, and S. Korea. I still have a crush on Pet at 71.
Petula Clark-a singer I will forever associate as one of the First Ladies of the British Invasion. 🇬🇧🎶🎵 She was a favorite then and she’s still a favorite now…
I just love her simple confidence and joy in happily sharing the art she loves, those of song and melody, with her audience! Her happiness and joy are an infectious invitation to the crowd to join her in the music of her heart :-D! In the words of Abba, I say thank you for the music, for giving it to people the world over!
@minimaxi802 Oh wow, I did not know that Miss Clark was born the same year as my grandmother, that was more of a mother to me than my actual mother ever was. Petula Clark's singing and music (along with many classic tunes) have always been favorites of mine. And RIP to my grandmother M.R.S October 27th 1932 - January 12th 2021 ❤️

Most joyful song ever about love! Like a marching band. Her second number one song. I will sing to my love when God brings us together. She is looking for me too. Another positive marching band song of Petula with orchestration I love is "Colour My World". (the incorrect American spelling means it's British). Many of her great songs written by Tony Hatch

Psst...Taylor - This is what it sounds like when a woman can really sing. Notice how nice she is dressed - and no circus going on in the background.
Favorite Petula Clark song I can recall forever
Pet Clark was the consummate professional of her generation. IMO she was the female Sinatra. 🧨

Thank you Petula. You are a true superstar. Your wiggle was terrific in this video. I was in the U.S. Air Force in 1966 and your songs are beautiful and timeless.
Such a beautiful talented girl. Her and Dionne Warwick were my favorite Female artists of the 60s. Love you Petula!
I'm Korean, but My Love is my favorite song, and Petula Clark is one of my favorite singers 💕💕
Would make an incredible opening to a movie. :)
This song is from a time when singers had to be able to do onething and that was sing. OMG Petula could really sing !
This song is beautiful and meaningful. It is all about unconditional love. AND is has a wonderful melody!
Female singers had to put out
Sadly... Some of those producers were pure evil. This is why Janis Joplin wrote "Women Is Losers"@@mr.bnatural3700
Still can. She's 91 and she's still got it, you know

Lovely woman, a wonderful upbeat song with nostalgic memories that bring back the great days of the 60s when I was in my teens in the UK.
Who doesn't love Petula Clark?
Muy buenooo
I just adore her. She simply always makes me smile 😊
This lady is a pure sensation. She sang some of the greatist hits in my lifetime. Even the Bestles had deep respect for her.
She was even buddies with the Rolling Stones, especially Mick Jagger. She told me.
Petulant is my favorite Brittish woman of the sixtees! Pure talent and good looks too!
I am a black man and I love me some Petula Clark. Love this song.
Music is not colour, it is soul.
I don`t understand your comment, music doesn`t have genre or colour.
Darling your race nor creed has nothing whatsoever to do with your taste in music. I'm white with blue eyes and Irish desert, but I love reggae and adore vintage ska. You and I are real ppl . Enjoy what uand who u like and sod the rest my sweetheart. Xxxx
Agree 💯
I hope in 2024 we can just be individuals who like music. I would not say, I am a white man who likes Stevie Wonder.
