At 78, I still remember driving my new 1965 Mustang and listening to California Dreamin' while cruising down Main Street. Then, I traded in my Mustang for a new 1967 Barracuds formula "S." Those were the days.
Оригинальная композиция California Dreamin' была исполнена Barry McGuire в 1965. Тем не менее, она была написана как раз John Phillips'ом и Michelle Phillips в 1963, которые впоследствии организовали The Mamas & the Papas, чье исполнение "California Dreamin'" считается традиционным.
The one thing I think just about everyone is in agreement with,Is that the "Mamas and The Papas" music is world renowned and is more than just a memory. New generations will listen to their music and hear their amazing story. Their music and legacy will never die.
At 65 there are so many songs that just bring back a flood of memories, some very good and some sad. This song will always bring a tear to my eyes. She had such a beautiful voice and will be greatly missed
California is home to the most amount of immigrants in the world. In the history of mankind. As a native Los Angelean, I am Mexican American, with Japanese and Filipino family. My immigrant parents worked for Aerospace, and saw the exploration of the horizons. California is truly special.
And a crap hole now. The entire state is. Most amount of homeless than all the other states combined. Over half of all welfare paid out. Highest cost of living. Highest taxes. Isn’t a dream it’s a nightmare.
Vy Rusové jste stejně super, je to taková blbost, kastovat lidi... navíc vaše hudba je nepřekonatelná a my češi navzdory politikům jí i lidi v Rusku máme rádi
A great song. My first trip to California was the summer of 1983. I was lucky enough to travel the country playing freestyle frisbee for most of my twenties. At 2:09 that’s me. This was on that 1983 trip. My most recent trip was a couple of weeks ago to Santa Barbara CA where me and my partner were inducted into the frisbee freestyle hall of fame.
It was pointed out to me by other frisbee freestylers. Another clip from that day ended up in a movie called Hot Moves. It’s funny because I was a guy from Louisiana but guess I had a California look.
There is a heaven Jim but you got to receive Jesus to get there. The music in heaven would blow you away and since God created it that’s a no wonder. The Bible talks much about heaven, music and what goes on there. Surprisingly, since everyone is going to die you would think instead of going by past or what current philosophers “can only guess” what goes on when we all die you would think there would be a frenetic and mad scramble to open the Holy Book to see what it has to say about this subject but no and that Holy Book prophesied accurately about just this fact and that only a few will make it. The thought of most of humanity perishing to eternal flames and haunting misery over being loved by their creator and in eternal safety is beyond comprehension and shocks me to my core. Mankind is full of pride, wicked, and has their hearts hardened towards God. Jesus is the only way to safety and peace. Because God is Holy no one can stand in his presence or go to heaven. God says to be with him you must be Holy as he is and take on his nature which again is only done through receiving Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins to God and the washing of his blood over you to atonement of those sins. What are you waiting for? Cry out to him wherever your at and he will hear you and give you mercy and forgiveness. I hope to see you and anyone else reading this in heaven someday. Remember the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. God bless.

Yes so sad not one of them here
Cass looked so beautiful here, and her dancing was so cool. Terribly sad what happened to her. Rest in peace lovely lady.
This is iconic !! The harmony and strength of voices is fabulousness🎶👍🏽🤩😎

This song should never be forgotten. RIP mama cass.
She should have shared that ham Sammich with Karen Carpenter and they would both still be alive. I’m only kidding.
@@cm1133 that is possibly the best response to this comment ever.
@@voidmystic3419 Momma Cass died of heart failure. The ham sandwich was not touch. The idiots in London were who propagated that rumor.

Although I'm only twenty-eight years old and I'm not an American, I really like this song, I listen to it very often. March 2021, is anyone here?
Right here!
Ms Mrs Mr Snake, if the rumors of reincarnation are to be believed, then maybe you have been American, and have heard this song in your last life, but what would I know.

People who was born in the 60's should be proud of their generation. This is awesome!
Golden ear for music
one of the greatest generations ever, but id like to hand that title to the people of the second world war
People born in the ‘60s are of the ‘70s generation.
This is late 40's baby's coming of age actually.
I wish I was alive in this era, the music the clothes the art it's a beautiful time. Like when the first flower starts to bud in the beginning hint of spring. Like breathing clean air for the first time. I was an 80s baby but I belong in the 60s/70s

Amazing how great this still sounds after all those years gone by! I was in 6th grade in rainy West Vancouver when this came out. It still makes me happy to hear it.
Days when music was so good, you wished you could live forever.
I absolutely wouldn’t want to live in California nowadays but I still fully believe back in the 60s and 70s California was probably the best place on earth to be

California Dreamin....um marco da música na época. O balanço, a melodia, faziam todos dançarem e cantarem a música. Maravilhosa!!!
At 78, I still remember driving my new 1965 Mustang and listening to California Dreamin' while cruising down Main Street. Then, I traded in my Mustang for a new 1967 Barracuds formula "S." Those were the days.
Classic story thank you for sharing
Incredible
Love Mama Cass's dance moves! Groovy girl. Her boots, too.
The 60s and 70s where magic ,the nostalgia ,i guess the older you get the stronger you feel it...
GREAT DAYS.
Оригинальная композиция California Dreamin' была исполнена Barry McGuire в 1965. Тем не менее, она была написана как раз John Phillips'ом и Michelle Phillips в 1963, которые впоследствии организовали The Mamas & the Papas, чье исполнение "California Dreamin'" считается традиционным.

California is home to the most amount of immigrants in the world. In the history of mankind. As a native Los Angelean, I am Mexican American, with Japanese and Filipino family. My immigrant parents worked for Aerospace, and saw the exploration of the horizons. California is truly special.

How did you find out about you being featured in this video?
It was pointed out to me by other frisbee freestylers. Another clip from that day ended up in a movie called Hot Moves. It’s funny because I was a guy from Louisiana but guess I had a California look.
One of the all time best records ever. If there really is a heaven then it will have music like this playing 👍
Agreed 👍
⁵
God bless.
lol
I hope so.
