And now, at age 89, Petula Clark will be going back on-stage in London as the 'Feed The Birds' lady in Mary Poppins! What a life!
I saw her there on Monday, amazing! Cameron Mackintosh came on stage at the end of the show with a cake, made a lovely speech and then the whole theatre sang Happy Birthday to Petula Clark. It was a wonderful surprise.
My favorite petula clark song! It sounds just as good now as it did in the 1960s!!
What elegance ❤
I would love to go back in time and witness this era, for three reasons, 1 life seamed simpler back then, 2 the music was fantastic and 3 the girls looked a lot better back then
I never stopped loving this song thr singer that era.....and all done without autotune.
I was born in the very late Autumn of 1978. I Love This Classic Vintage Video! I Love Petula Clark! I Love Everything About This Performance! I Love This Song!
Best era was the 60s. Now the world isn’t the same.
The world was never the same
This is not Petula Clark lip-synching. This is a live performance---and it's brilliant.
Back when artists had real talent.
@@B1gHagar You are so right!
More's the pity, but lip syncing was the only way to go at the time.
petula clark is the best down town music ever existed in the universe
@@virginmice6779 you forgot "Sugar Sugar" by The Archies.
Gorgeous beauty and amazing singer and composer nothing else to say but her accent was divine!
Thursdays were "That Girl", "Bewitched", "Ironsides", and "The Dean Martin Show". And every "Dean Martin Show" would deliver quality like this every week.
One of the best Pop Songs of it's time. Great composition and perfectly covering the optimism of the 60ths.
Listen to the applause. What a great performance.
I was a teenager when this song came out. So many wonderful memories for me.
Hello Karla, How are you doing?
I sure miss those days. Although I was just nine years old in January of 1967, that decade was very much a magical time for me. At least in terms of entertainment. That era is gone forever, of course. But I can proudly say I experienced it!
My mom had errands to run in Seattle around 1966 I was 6 or so... We took the bus... She took me to eat somewhere. All the sights and sounds, everybody going somewhere, I think I slept like 12 hours when we got home. Thanks mom. I always think of that when I hear this song.
This song takes me right back to the 60's. Driving in dad car with my mom. Just listening to the radio as the snow was coming down. As a kid, I knew there was something special about this song. I could just feel it. I am sure that old rambler is scrap, mom and dad long gone and yet the song remains as does the memory. As time goes by.
