barryhook2, my grandfather always said, If the horse is fit and shod correctly, there's no bloody reason why you can't canter a horse on the road!! And he learned that from his father, who in the 1890 Canadian Census was listed as a Stage Coach Driver for the Ambassadors and their wives, in downtown Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on cobblestone and concrete streets. So I'll take your word and theirs over anyone else's thank you very much! Best Regards and a Safe Weekend to everyone! Best Regards and a Safe Weekend to all!! From, Ontario, Canada, Jenn.

Another Masterclass from Barry. I'd love to have seen the 'before' film first. It's hard to believe that little pony was ever dangerous when he is so perfectly behaved. I only hope that this time his life goes as smoothly as it has with Barry. Great job filming, Rhi.

When using our Clydes for farm work we used the calls GEE and HAW to indicate turn direction. They would continue the turn until told otherwise. Some of the teams were quite large, and these two sounds seem to carry well and were distinct.

Can I ask , as you always use rubber bits , are they jointed or straight ? , love your videos.

They are straight bar, Mullen mouth, loose ring, flexible rubber snaffles. No joints or fixed pivot points. Hope this helps!

    Well behaved boy..
Will you ever train up another school horse like rolley Barry ?

We currently have Cloud (a big Friesian cross gelding) staying with us longterm whilst his owner (a friend of ours) recovers from an operation. He is doing very well learning to be a schoolmaster - as is Georgie, our pony schoolmaster who belongs to Rhi - but there will never be another quite like Roly!
