Nah, since he's flying an F-5, he's one of the Demons of Razgriz.
It's just unnatural what he did, all I know a plane doesn't retain energy like that.
He taps the elevator in turns and keeps it fast , above 900kph.

Totally, also jets don't hit G's like that either. The most pilots are allowed to hit is 7 G's, anything more than that then your aircraft is classified as damaged and has to go through an extensive maintenance inspection. That is one of my biggest gripes with "realistic" battles. These aircraft should only be able to hit 7-8 g's without damage, and if you hit any more than 10 G's, it causes damage to your aircraft. none of this 13-14 G nonsense.

Defyn has single handedly made me a better pilot by making me way more aware of my surroundings and my plane's energy, but more importantly he's made me say "hand you your ass" 100% more
my flying skills have increases dramatically over the year of my playing warthunder and when i start watching defyn, growling sidewinder, and spitflyer.

I'm still lacking awareness as I always want to go for the 1v1s when everyone is still relatively close to each other (i.e. at the start of the game), and primarily flying Spitfires doesn't help me much. Playing free to play (and therefore suffering frequent blackouts) might not help much either.
@@Xiphactinus free to play doesn't affect your black outs, you just need to focus on leveling your crew, granted this takes a while, in fact it took me about a couple months of frequent grinding to get a natural aced crew. in fact it took me since i started playing warthunder in september of 2019 to september 2020 to get a level 75 crew without using premium

@@Xiphactinus I never said you needed to get good, just consistency and persistence on one crew per nation.
doesn't matter how bad you are at something, if you never give up, you will eventually succeed. i only have one lvl 75 crew lol the 2nd highest i have that i spent no money on is lvl 40 and that took me a good couple months.
Warthunder is a game of masochism, suffer more pain for minimal gain
amazing aircraft! what's really cool about modern fighter development (for the USA, but I think in general as well) is that they determined that most dogfights happen at like .7-.9 Mach, so they optimized the aircraft for maneuverability at that speed. The F-5A is a brilliant example of this, as well as the F-5E Tiger II, F/A-18, F-16, etc. The older supersonic aircraft were generally made for interception, which (I think) is why they're so clunky to fight with.
Or made with pure missile combat in mind. But yeah with the F-5 we’re getting into the fun zone with the American light fighters

Btw, when you gave me room to engage again for the Mirage I tried going back to base as I thought maybe you were going back as well seeing the distance increase rapidly

I can't wait to have a F-5 on the US, I don't care if C or E, I simply can't put myself to play china, for several reasons., but hopefully I won't have to wait too long.
The only reason it's been put in the Chinese tree is to give the players an incentive to grind that boring ass copy paste nation.
I like how there are players on the forums who are so blinded by their hatred/jealousy for US getting new stuff are that they go so far as to justify the US not getting this plane by saying it was never used in combat and only used as a trainer by that same logic why tf do the T-2 and Sk-60 exist in the game?.

fun fact: if you preview the F-5A rn, you will get the US menu theme instead of the chinese one
and ye, i think US will get the F-5C and 5E as things for both were spotted in the game files, however idk how i feel about adding having another F-104A/C and F-4C/E situation, costs way too much RP and all...

Good luck with the F-25 Sabre and F9F-8. If I recall it right, F Sabres are generally great planes no matter the guns and Cougars are mostly supportive at best

Is there a historical document showing an F5 consitently pulling 16Gs? seems insane
After a quick google and dcs forum topic, it would seem on dcs they have a max g limit of 14G (sustained is more of 7-9G) that being the F5E though...
War Thunder isn't really that realistic. For example, the J35 didn't get damaged beyond a few screws getting loosened when it pulled 16 Gs irl, but in game it almost instantly snaps its wings.
@@teodordimdal6313 Warthunder currently also doesn't model compressor stalls, which would make most engines fail at high angles of attack.
can't wait for it to be added to america, I'm grinding out every american rank 6 currently because i have an excuse to fly my F2 and B-57 in sim, and my F4U-4B VMF-214 in air rb. The F-5 is hands down my favorite 3rd generation fighter, mainly because it reminds me of what a baby F-18 hornet would look like.

Not grinding the Chinese tree for this but I can't wait for it to come to the American tree, looks like a true blue dogfighter and I miss that in the current meta of war thunder. Dogfights are too rare.

Is it better to go into battle with only AIM 9J’S with the A7D since they put more drag on the jet if not can you pls give me any tips defyn?
I've noticed certain planes which "have good (maneuvering) energy retention" don't so much have good turn as they have a really weak elevator, so that your maximum pull when you press W puts it at the limit of its sustainable turn envelope but no further. Wonder if Gaijin could remodel the mouse aim logic to incorporate that.

Is the current flight model of F-5 realistic? Some of these turns seem to be a little extreme for a plane without thrust vectoring. UFO characteristics.

They are pretty much the same gun in one of his top planes the f86f2 he has alot of experience with them I can do the same shit with 20mms and the 30mm but cant with any caliber lower because honestly I Fucking hate 50 cals and the 13mms mg
