    Good refresher- caught your other vids on #4 & #1. Did this same repair on my #4 when it went out earlier this year. Only difference is I'm a firm believer in soldering all connections where possible, so that and shrink tube made for a robust connection IMO. I'm thinking of doing a wholesale connector replacement on the rest as I'm getting a generic P026D error and I've covered just about all of the other component replacements and service bulletins pertaining to it. PITA, especially when the sun is beating down on you!

    • @CFarmer
      @CFarmer  2 года назад +2

      Thank you! Yea... I'm getting old too. That doesn't help much. I would definitely prefer solder but the butt connector is usually just quicker. Hope you get rid of the P026D. I've seen it a couple of times but it usually goes away on its own before i have a chance to look into it

      I haven't myself, I know a few people who have but they still ended up having to replace the connector eventually. As long as you can tighten up the connection it should work to at least get someone off the side of the road.

    • @CFarmer
      @CFarmer  2 года назад +1

      If i would have deleted when i bought it.... I wouldn't have had to replace the def injector and the nox sensors. That's the only issues can think of that i can think of that would've been removed during the delete. In my opinion i would still have injector connector issues and that's the main issue i have with mine. I also believe by not deleting i have cost myself engine life in the long run. The emissions make the engine work so much harder. I have also had exceptional luck out of my dpf filter. I don't personally know anyone else that has put over 400k on a stock dpf filter. I also believe if i was deleted my transmission would have probably went out long ago the way i beat on this one

    Man I hate you had that happen again. Don’t know what GMs issue is with these connectors but my buddy I run with a lot has a 2021 GMC and his #4 went bad and actually melted to the injector and he was at only 110k miles. My older LML is at almost 400k and never had to replace one yet so don’t really know what they’ve changed but apparently they still got the issue with them. I had him watch some of your earlier videos on these and he ordered a couple of the connectors just in case. Glad you got it fixed. Stay safe my friend
