Yesh... I always eat a good organic meal and drink purified mountain water before I go to a rock concert. Oh those kegger parties that I played at when I was younger. Yes. We were all sober and on our toes. Yesh.
luv watching this vid...its in its pure form, regardless of the drugs, playing, ect....you have iconic dude deciding to jam out in his backyard...as how VH started in the 70s...
This is your brain on drugs......and whatever else, Eddie, was doing back then. This is after him and Valerie, split. So enters the downhill spiral. So glad he got sober. Cause this shit here, is not the Eddie, that inspired me to pick up the guitar, in 86.
Correct. Eds playing now, sober, is fucking awesome. I feel for him in my heart because I too am in recovery from alcoholism. It was fun when young, but, as I got older, it fucked me up. My playing now is more tamed. We do not take the chances.
Joe Wentz What's even more sad is the comments saying how awesome he and his playing is without regard to his obvious state of being on some hard drugs. I've loved Eddie since hearing his first album. So sad to see him like this.
Check out Eddie at the Hollywood bowl this year on here. Sober and playing like a monster. Roth is still struggling to sing, but Ed and Alex are just fucking incredible. No drugs and booze for me, means money for another Les Paul next month. Yep, fuck you pusher man, hello Guitar Center.

I saw them on the reunion tour with dave late 2000’s i tell everybody how good that show was. Im proud to have been there. RIP EDDIE!
I am not biased about eddie's passing. The fact is that this was a house party and Eddie is fucking having fun! He doesn't have to be "professional". He plays better wasted than most of us could play sober with 10 oxygen tanks and crack injected into our veins (if that's a thing).
Man, even wasted, he is still a legend at the guitar!!! go Eddie!
Slash Arnold .....not really.
Yesh... I always eat a good organic meal and drink purified mountain water before I go to a rock concert. Oh those kegger parties that I played at when I was younger. Yes. We were all sober and on our toes. Yesh.
@@OutOnTheTiles ha ha, good joke. NOT
Nope
Totally awesome! What a glimpse into his life. Having fun, pressure is off. Still awesome. Thanks for this video, made me feel good.
So what? He is still a badass guitar player.
It must have sucked to be Eddies neighbor...LMAO.
On the contrary. It must have effin' rocked to be Eddie's neighbor!
Or not 😁 mayb u would b invited 2 the party 🎉
Thought the same .... but I don’t.mind seeing a Van Halen concert everyday though.... 😑😑
And his lungs.
He doesn’t have neighbors
Genius energy. sharing pure love and music devotion
It puts the lotion on the skin...
JgHaverty sick minded but funny as hell!!! got a laugh out of this.
Hahahha
Lmfao
Hahahaha
+JgHaverty hahahahahahahahahahah
He’s drunk AF. But he still nailed that solo. So awesome.
Lol....he actually did!!!
what video are you watching?
He’s a Rock Star! It’s kinda Expected.
His rhythm guitar was a little shaky, 😊 He got in the groove for the solo though🔥
That's not alcohol in his system my friend. This was when Ed had a terrible drug habit.
luv watching this vid...its in its pure form, regardless of the drugs, playing, ect....you have iconic dude deciding to jam out in his backyard...as how VH started in the 70s...
Man, is this sad.... Thankfully, he got out of this period - and at least lived well for a few years later.
What was he flying on?
I have no idea why people hate the singer. He has an amazing voice honestly. Hell id be honored to be in a band with that dude
Who hates him?? I see no hate comments
That is my cousin Derek Sherinian playing keyboards! Love it! VH rocks! Jump! Eddie Van Halen's birthday party 🎉
You know these guys are rocking with "I hope Eddie hires us !" on their minds.
Alcoholism is a disease....we have been sober for 13 years and I still think about it every day.
what a special treat to witness his stage presence so close in this video...what a special video this is
This is your brain on drugs......and whatever else, Eddie, was doing back then. This is after him and Valerie, split. So enters the downhill spiral. So glad he got sober. Cause this shit here, is not the Eddie, that inspired me to pick up the guitar, in 86.
When I see him like this I always think of Emma Stone in Zombieland telling Bill Murray he looks like EVH.
Correct. Eds playing now, sober, is fucking awesome. I feel for him in my heart because I too am in recovery from alcoholism. It was fun when young, but, as I got older, it fucked me up. My playing now is more tamed. We do not take the chances.
I am a friend of Bill, W's too,
Joe Wentz
What's even more sad is the comments saying how awesome he and his playing is without regard to his obvious state of being on some hard drugs.
EVH, RIP you will be missed. Also, I believe that's Eric Dover from the band Jellyfish on vocals.
Indeed Jellyfish's second guitarist, Slashes Snake
pit, Imperial Drag, and Lickerish Quartet.
Eric also played in Alice Cooper's Band.
Check out Jellyfish, damn good band. I believe they started in the early 90's behind the driving force of Andy Sturmer and Roger Manning Jr. Here is a video of one of there tunes, ruclips.net/video/qQTj_2mMfSA/видео.html
F***ING CAN'T BELIEVE HE'S GONE!!! MY HEART IS STILL BROKEN!! RIP ( ROCK IN PEACE), EDWARD VAN HALEN!!!!!!!!!
Wow! What a great moment you've captured here.
Make no mistake about it, Eddie is Legend. But this is pretty bad. The man was definitely human.
Drunk ! Go 'head and Drunk ! I got my back against the Jaeger maaaachiiiiiiinnnnne ! Drunk !
Best comment ever LOL!!!
I see what you did there. And let's face it, alcoholism is always hilarious! 😉
Might as well dump might as well dump dump dump go ahead and dump might as well dump.😂😂😂😂🇺🇸
Might as well drunk. Drunk. I was thinking the same lyrics.
Incredible guitar action and intensity and feeling. One of my Favorite Classic anthems.
