Habe das Konzert in St. Martin selbst erlebt. Einfach herrlich und erhebend.
Wonderful performance. Bravo!♥♥♥♥♥
One of Bach's most beautiful concerts, transcribed and performed by what, in my opinion, is currently the greatest organist in the world.
PS: When Ad nos by Liszt??😄
While all Jonathan's performances are superb, his interpretations of J.S.Bach's works are something really special.
What an amazing arrangement! If this arrangement was being played on an organ, only Bach could play it. Or Johnathan! Nice pedal-work!! Many thanks, well done! (from Canada)
Ok. Let's see Bach playing again...😊
Breathtaking! It's so difficult but you make it seem so easy! Bravo bravissimo maestro!!
Just from the opening I can say this arrangement is going to be FANTASTIC.
Thank you once again Jonathan Scott!
So beautiful!
It took a musical genius to write and another genius to perform it at this level, well done.
Well said, though Bach was surely more than mere genius!!
Great organ for Bach, amazing finger & footwork. Thanks Jonathan & Tom
On this instrument I had the honor and pleasure to perform a long solo and trio recital with two young and very good German trumpet players.
It was in October 1997.
With them I played THREE Baroque Concertos (Vivaldi, Fasch and Loeillet).
I remember it was a great success.
And I had the opportunity to meet my colleague J. von Erdmann (student of M. C. Alain) who at the end of the concert gave me two bottles of good "Riesling" wine and one of his beautiful discs of music by Dupré.
By the way, did you see the joke about the wooden buffet with the bottle of wine and a glass behind you (Riesling 2fach)?
When I experienced this, I laughed for a few minutes alone during the concert rehearsal! 😅🍷🍾🎹🎊🙋♂
Thank you. Throughly enjoyable/Spellbinding. Same feelings as listening to J. Heifetz play the violin...
Ahhh, Bach. This marvelous toe tapper is captivating from start to finish. Enthralling & exuberant! Thanks for sharing this fabulous instrument & music. Bravo! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇩🇪🎹🎶
Bach was surely smiling down with a outstanding performance like this - BRAVO!
This is the best performance yet, Jonathan. Truly just beyond spectacular!
Certainly wonderful and divine Bach was a brave and divine gentleman like his family. 😇🎼⛪️
Absolutely wonderful; complete mastery of the instrument.
An impressive transcription of the first movement of the Bach D minor Concerto BMV 1052. Good sound and visual aspect integration also. Thank you both.
Incredibly fascinating!!!!!
Magical. Right from the start to the very end. I don't know how Jonathan does it.
Once in a generation talent like Lemare was before him
@@epincion Yes. Lemare was just a name on a blue plaque in Ventnor until I read about him just now. I see that, like Jonathan, there was no "churchiness" to his playing, even when playing in services.
@@webrarian Lets not forget Henry Goss-Custard the organist for Liverpool Cathedral 1917 - 1955 and another very talented transcriber of popular works who performed regular concerts at Liverpool Town Hall to bring the classics to the masses. Many of his transcriptions are still performed today - eg Mendelssohn’s Elijah oratorio.
Wow, that was absolutely amazing! Such an incredible rendition of that Bach piece. I always think you shine brightest when playing Bach. You seem to have a real affinity for his work. This is a brilliant video, & shows this wonderful organ & the organist off so well. Thank you both for sharing this with us. Glad you stayed away from the Riesling stop for this piece!! xx
Vibrant performance supported by appropriately sensitive video. Gracias
Just wonderful! And it seems so easy for Jonathan! Thank you both for this beautiful video! ❤❤
Once again wonderfull!
Wow! Just Wow!
Brings Bach alive… Bravo.. All the best Alex
Thanks my Dear Brothers!
Thanks Jonathan for another masterful rendition.!
Jonathan, I loved your outstanding performance of this wonderful Bach piece! Will Ortiz

Words are not enough!!!
With Love from the Netherlands.
Marvelous!!!
Complimenti
Bárbaro!! I have enjoyed it a lot!! Congratulations and thanks for sharing!! ❤
Maravilhoso! Espetacular! Parabéns, Jonathan! 🎶🙌👍♥️🙋🏻♀️
Scott Brothers, you are great!
Love Bach! Thank you for this❤
Magnifique 😍 😍😍 merci
❤
Well done. There is also a transcription by Dupré of the same movement for solo organ. I remember learning it for a recital, years ago - really hard work, so well done you!
Superb!
Many thanks.
Fantastic !
What a lovely organ : so suited to Bach and beautifully played
As brilliant as always. Thank you for sharing.
❤️ !!!
Fantastic Jonathan!😁👍👏👏👏
Bravo! Another splendid video; what an affinity you have with Bach’s work Jonathan!Hope you both enjoyed the fruits of the Riesling stop!
It is always a plaesure to appreciate J S Bach's work played by a good performer, and with a proper pipe organ, similar to the one I own, I remember this piece as it was yesterday, I can't believe that 286 years have passed since he showed it to me.. you are missed my dear Johann..
It’s awesome
Thank you very, very much!
Very good work!
Absolutely famtastic!
Thank you from George in Herefordshire.
❤Thanks 🌹Fantastic job 🎼🎹🎶🎵✨
Elegant ! Thank you 🎉
I always have a giggle when, instead of the usual "list of camera equipment I use" in the description of a youtube video, its a list of all the stops on the organ.
👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️
I’m begging you to please play Bach’s brandonburg 5 movement 3
°Brandenburg 😊
