I heard this on the radio in California in 79. After I moved back to MS, I got a job as a courier. They sent me to Laurel once. I said "That dirty, stinking town?" They didn't get it =p.

Yeah I know what he meant,. It’s just too funny that Delaware has a town called Laurel that fits the description perfectly.. Delaware is such a small state that we only have one zip code for the entire state, and we only have three counties. There isn’t one place in the entire county that is more then 30 miles from the Beech and Laurel is only 15 miles but is still a run down crap hole of a town, Maybe if we rename the downs more kids wii some

Having said that, comparisons will always be contentious; maybe it's best to have co-existing brilliance without the subjective opinions of what affects us the most joyfully.
