Steve Forbert - "Goin' Down To Laurel" (Live at the Water Witch in Highlands, NJ, 2020)

This video of "Goin' Down to Laurel" was filmed at a coffee shop called Water Witch in a town called Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey. The complete 60 minute set was streamed as part of the 2020 Philadelphia Folk Festival.
Filmmaker Thomas Parr and I filmed most of the video for "Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues" in this cafe. The semi-psychedelic video for "Box of Rain" we filmed a block away. The Highlands is a very scenic and inviting little town (during the summer!).

Another great song from Alive on Arrival. Classic Steve Forbert lyric and arrangement, outstanding! I had a much better understanding of this song after reading your book. Steve, thank you for another great memory from my younger days. I drove through Laurel in 1987 on my way home to NJ for a visit. I sang this song as I drove past and thought of you!
