I’ve loved this since I first heard it way back at the dawn if the 80’s. One of my favorite songs of all time. Here I am at 54 years old and now song brings tears to my eyes like this does, and I have no idea why. Thank you for this masterpiece.
This brings me back to my teenage years...I forgot how much I loved this song. Saw Steve back in the early 80s in a small club in Jersey and here I am still listening more than 40 years later and he still sounds as good now as he did back then. Thanks for the music Steve.
Steven, nice, great work. You have inspired me, through the decades. I always will remember the first time I heard this song forever etched in my mind. When I think of the past, I think of men like you who were the pioneers, the 'cowboys' so to speak. Excellent work and thank you. I really do appreciate your music now and back then. God bless, and be well. Thank you good sir.
enjoyed your up 'n close concert in Utrecht with my two bros - three of us grew up with your songs and well into our 50ies it still connects us Thomsies, thanks Steve.
Steve Forbert is a fantastic singer, the fans is waiting from him to record and reissue again the double cd named Little Stevie Orbit the same one from 2013 Rolling Tide because this recording sounds very good.
La escuche en el año 1979 por primera vez,a mis 17 años, me trae hermosos recuerdos. me encantó, es preciosa armoniosa, hermosa voz de Steve forbert. ❤👏👏👏 saludos desde 🇨🇱
Wow, looking at the camera shots and the pacing, I feel like whoever directed this could not find anything interesting to show, so just kept calling a new shot every 4-5 seconds. Great music. Boring live video, unfortunately!

Outstanding singer and song!!!🦉
Excellent! That song always reminds me of my senior year in high school ('80-'81).

Just Fantastic...
So wonderful and that DW drum kit is lovely.
Can't wait to see you again live Steve, once we get the all clear!
They sure don't make 'em like this anymore
I remember WPLJ playing this when it was first released. His voice is Rod Stewart meets Joe Cocker
Meet me in the middle of the day
Let me hear you say everything's okay
Bring me southern kisses from your room
Meet me in the middle of the night
Let me hear you say everything's alright
Let me smell the moon in your perfume
Oh, Gods and years will rise and fall
And there's always something more
It's lost in talk, I waste my time
And it's all been said before
While further down behind the masquerade the tears are there
I don't ask for all that much I just want someone to care
That's right now
Meet me in the middle of the day
Let me hear you say everything's okay
Come on out beneath the shining sun
Meet me in the middle of the night
Let me hear you say everything's alright
Sneak on out beneath the stars and run
Oh yeah, oh yeah yeah, oh yeah
It's king and queen and we must go down now beyond the chandelier
Where I won't have to speak my mind and you won't have to hear
Shreds of news and afterthoughts and complicated scenes
We'll huddle down behind the light and fade like magazines
Meet me in the middle of the day
Let me hear you say everything's okay
Bring me southern kisses from your room
Hey hey, meet me in the middle of the night
Let me hear you say everything's alright
Let me smell the moon in your perfume
Oh now, meet me in the middle of the day
Let me hear you say everything's okay
Let me see you smiling back at me
Hey, meet me in the middle of the night
Let me hear you say everything's alright
Hold me tight and love and loving's free
Whoa yeah

40 years later and still resonates. Great interview on xm last week.
This was actually played on the RADIO! Back in 1978.... along with springsteen/ J geils/ otis/ allmans..... What the hell happened!!!???
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Curious? Can someone explain why the drummer is shielded by the Plexiglas, does it give a different vibe to the sound?
😍😍😍😍
He still sounds great
😍😍
If your toes aren’t tapping and you’re not singing along check your pulse.
Great, love it
I’ve seen you 15 times, but never with a band. Please bring a band to Asheville or Atlanta

Compare this masterpiece to the crap they call music today. 😂
