Broadsword been my baby since DS1. I especially love how much forward momentum its heavy attacks have in 3.
Since it worked so well in sl1 ds3 I used it all throughout rl1 too. Works great, I like it
It's a good option for that!
Really, really dislike the R2 sweeps. Much prefer the Longsword style R2 thrusting stabs. Maybe if enemies’ swipes clanged and clattered off walls like ours do it would feel more balanced, but as it stands I’m sick of them hitting me but my attacks bounce around leaving me vulnerable. The stab works in tight corridors and in open areas where a sweep may be more useful, I just utilize the extra space to reposition for a stab.
I like 'em but I know what you mean haha, it's a shame we can't trap enemies into the same wall bounces we suffer
I like the broadsword, it felt like a "club that cuts" to me anyways lol
It'd be funny if we had a sword that used a club moveset haha, like that Gutts sword which is just a big chunk of iron he bonks things with
@@SilverMont That would actually be pretty cool actually, it can also be as a bit thick blade a tiny bit like Guts sword even. Hmm be cool to see, I wonder if ya be able to stab with it or do the ash of war thing and have a heavy stab or something still?
Broadsword along with the long sword is a good choice for low or weak enemy types. But even with a bit of upgrading it is ok, at least till you find something more suitable.
Yeah it's a pretty solid weapon that can carry you through the whole game if needs be
This thing can put in serious work. Hitting hardest of the straight swords, it can more efficiently stagger foes. Where the extra weight pays off.
Finding the moveset undesirable can be mitigated with AOWs.
Overall, feels something between longsword and battle axe to me, something I'm personally very ok with lol.
Oh I forgot about stagger - does it do a lot more stagger than the LS or is it marginally higher?
@@SilverMont Generally it does a few more points, but with Heavy scaling it'll do considerably more.
Hey silver mont did you ever play ffxiv? I would love these types of vids for the jobs in that game!
I have sorta done that! I've done a lot of FFXIV videos and I think I've done some class/job videos for it too
@SilverMont oh sweet ill check those out then. Are u excited for dawntrail?
