You can just use the video to help you see how to use a reference and sculpt accordingly to the image. There are probable thousands of referabdlce images for Cs jarambit knifes

Hi, great tutorial. Do you know how to use a track tool on Mac? I can't find the shortcut and I have to activate this tool from viev-camera tools-track tool. It's annoying. I can use rotate tool in easy way, but not the track tool Thank you in advance for your help.

Go to Windows / Settings-Preferences /Plugin Manager and check if OBJEXPORT.mll is loaded

Hey Mike, thanks for the great tutorial. At 14:31I'm having a problem deleting the NURBs curve. Each time I try it deletes the entire handle. Any suggestions?
Select the object and delete the history. You can now safely remove the curve

Do you recommend another rendering source? I am new to this (like, less then a week) and it would be pre-mature to buy KeyShot for 1,995, especially at the cost. The trial version is covered in a watermark and I don't know another rendering source I could use. Do you have any recommendations?
I would not buy anything just yet. Get comfortable with Maya or 3DSMax or whatever you are using and then after a year or so you will know what to buy
Hey, I know this is an old post, but i recommend Radeon Pro Render. It's free and open source, and GPU accelerated. It has a viewport preview in Maya.
please make a tutorial of how to export in high quality jpeg file, or png or psd.
When I export in jpg or psd it always export in 720px or lower.

So you can not render larger than 720 or you can not export larger than 720p ?

Wow, as a student, KeyShot is not only a fascinating piece of software, but also perhaps one of the most expensive pieces of software I've come to contact with. Any idea how to get it cheaper / for free / a good enough alternative? Thanks in advance!

What's the extrude shortcut in Maya 2013?

When I used ctrl+e to extrude the mesh plane It did not extend like yours did at 7:00. it brought up the extend menu but thats it. I selected the face and shift clicked on the curve. I have been tinkering with it for quite some time but I haven't been able to get the same result as you. Any ideas what it could be?

I have Maya 2017 but it is a 30 day trial version I recently downloaded. I'm not really sure if that could be effecting the results

Haha! I understand you! I am both Blender and Modo user, but I think it's very crucial to (re)learn Maya, so that's why I followed this tut. I've been using Modo for quite a while and actually, I had to relearn blender again a few weeks ago as it's such a hotkeys heavy software that after a while of not using it it felt weird when I started to use it again. I even terrorized Andrew Price with questions through email LOL

I am stuck on 18:02 mark. I am currently using the 2018 versions and I cant figure out how to extrude while having full control of moving the next block. It either locks in place or I have to set the exact thickness of the extrusion.
Could you model a Transformer?

When I import the sword image, (the same one) the image is taking the whole page and i cannot make it smaller or move it around even when i use the W, R, or E, and the Move tool, and the Scale tool does not work on the image PLEASEEEE HELLPPPP ..... Thank you
I asume you have an older Maya version.
Select the image and go into the attribute editor. Here you can move or scale your image by changing the scale ( x,y,z, ) or translate values
At 7:19 when I start raising the subdivisions, the cube doesn't wrap around the curve. It just stays straight. Can anyone help me figure out why?

Did you select the cube ( object mode ) or the face on the cube ? You need to select the face
